Useful tool for DYI auto repair and more
I use this impact driver when working on my vehicles and find it very useful for this application. The ergonomics is simply unmatched. It's very short and lightweight so you can easily get into tight spaces. At the same time the tool is extremely powerful. It takes wheel lug nuts off without a problem. Real world tests show this model has more torque than what is specified by the manufacturer.Auto-stop mode is my favorite feature of this driver. Rotation is stopped when the bolt/nut is loosened enough to unscrew it by hand. The coolest thing – you don't necessarily need to unscrew bolts/nuts manually. You just need to press the trigger one more time. The tool will typically stop when the bolt/nut is fully unscrewed. My only complaint is when auto-stop is enabled, clock-wise operation uses the maximal speed. If you are working on sensitive stuff and use auto-stop for unscrewing, you can forget to change the mode before putting a bolt/nut back, which can destroy it.If you are concerned about the usefulness of 2Ah battery, there's nothing to worry about. 2Ah is more than enough for any auto repair. I bet you can disassemble at least a half of your vehicle using only one battery. 5Ah is huge and, as another reviewer mentioned, it compromises the idea of obtaining such a compact a tool.

Not a better impact out there and comes with 2 batteries
I use it every day and it met all my expectations.It's light weight and very comfortable in my hand.The battery life is exceptional.The best impact driver out there

I purchased this impact driver to replace one stolen from my car. It’s better than the old one, and it stays in my car for come what may.

The Makita manufacture includes two 5.0Ah batteries with this model XDT16R, however the Amazon.com description states the batteries will be 2.0Ah.
