GREAT BUT BE VERY CAREFUL AND CAUTIOUS IF YOU ORDER ONE
When this works, yes, it deserves a 5 star review. I thought for 3 days on what I would write and what kind of review I should leave about it. After careful consideration my 5 star rating is merely for the performance of the product and what I expected it to. As a clothing care system, I cant tell you by how great this is. I hate ironing and while this does not do a 100% iron/dry-clean job, its about 90% there and thats good enough for me. I would recommend this to anyone that wears a lot of dress shirts. Will definitely save you money in the long wrong. For those wanting more detail or really considering this unit, I have made a more thought out response below. UNIT DESIGN: While performance is great, functionality is horrid. This device is beyond huge (which i was prepared for) and the box it came in with the unit was 101 pounds. But, what I hate the absolute most, all four sides need to be accessible. I was going to slide this between my washer and dryer. They even have a picture of this in one of the brochures, not possible. You of course need the front to pull it out, you need both sides to clamp the clothing in, but what idiotic engineer put the water catch tank in the back of the unit. Yes, you have to be able to also access the back of the unit. You will not be able to slide this against a wall, push it back against a wall. It literally must just stand in a open area. Keep this in mind if you decide to order one. UNIT FUNCTIONALITY: It works, I did a few dress shirts both just regular wrinkled and I had some dress shirts that I do not wear anymore shoved in drawers. I took them out just to see if it would make a difference. I knew light wrinkles would go away but wow, this is the reason for the five stars. It took a shirt, that had been balled up in a drawer for 2 years, and make it look brand new. If you are looking for a quick clothing care solution this things is remarkable. For its size, since its already huge, I wish they could have made it hold two garments but one is fine. I add my shirt, push the ten or 15 minutes button, take shower, and have a nice shirt to wear as soon as I am out. UNIT ENERGY CONSUMPTION: Not that I expect to many to care but keep in mind, when this things first turns on, lights on the same break will dim considerably. I dont know what kind of amperage this thing is pulling out but it has to be quite a bit. Even my washer and dryer don't do this. The only appliance I have that I think that can dim my lights on initial turn on is my vacuum. I know this thing takes a bit a power. UNIT CARE AND USAGE: This unit uses items called PODS and you need one for every piece of garment you put in. The cheapest I can find them for are about .60 to .70 per POD. After carefully studying many reviews from people that have came up with there own solution liquid or just using plain water and filling an old pod, 3-5 years from now I might be that person too. Its just a big steamer so I imagine it would work fine. My main thing to point out is after the steam process, I can see a faint residential of liquid at the bottom of the pull out unit. I after using it a few times, I have learned to leave the door open a little while to let all the water evaporate. Probably a good idea to wipe the bottom once a weak to be prepared for some min upkeep. THE HATRED:::::::: I don't imagine everyone story will go like this but here is mine and why is was initially tough to leave a 5 star review. I will go in order of issues. One thing to keep in mind is my Wife bought this for me as a Christmas gift. Brand new, from Amazon.com and not some reseller of no name. 1. Was shipped to my apartment. UPS said delivery time would be between 11-3. I stayed home and it never came. I finally leave at 4 and the second I pull out my carport, instant notification on the phone the package is delivered, WTH!!!! 2. Item was delivered to the office and not my door. Did I mention this box weighs 101 pounds..... 3. Go to the office, Box looks like it has been the WWI and deserves a purple heart trying to protect the contacts inside. 4. Box at the top was partially open, I could blatantly see the unit inside without even touching the box. 5. I am 5'7 and I only weigh 35 pounds more than this box. Moving it to my apartment....Lets just say I got my exercise for the year. 6. Discovered the rear needed to be accessible on opening. 2 hours now thinking of where can I place this now knowing all four sides need to be accessible. 7. Threw some stuff in storage, found a spot, plugged it in, nothing happens. (unplug replug, you will do this a lot) 8. Finally after closing and opening everything 5-10 times it comes on. Great. wait ten minutes, whats burning? 9. Cycle is over, definitely hot inside the unit. POD is still full of its liquid gold. WTH! 10. Establish the unit is not sucking water and not working properly. Wife is upset as it was the only gift I asked for. She got a Macbook, a Mercedes SUV, a coach purse, a full hide leather carry case for the laptop, a whole bunch of high end frangrances, and I got this, a nice broken machine.... Way to start the Christmas day. She was actually more upset than I was as I had nothing to enjoy for Christmas except this broken unit... 11. Any married man knows when a wife is upset, you do what you can to repair the situation. I know electronics and mechanics extremely well. Out comes the tool box. On Christmas day.... 12. Did I mention the unit was delivered with huge cracks one the bottom, I forgot to mention that but I discovered it here when I was ready to take apart the unit to figure out what was wrong. 13. The instructions the unit comes with are crap for trouble shooting, forums are crap. If something goes wrong your screwed. EXCEPT if you open the unit. There is a little white pamphlet with all the trouble shooting instructions, wire schematics, and more. WHY WASNT THIS JUST IN THE BOX. 14. After looking all over, first thing I notice is the PUMP has two wires that plug into it. + and -. THE + WIRE WAS COMPLETELY DISCONNECTED. WTH! I think this is number 3 WTH btw.... 15. Reconnect, attach everything, and oo la la it works. Does a great job on the first shirt but &^% is load. Especially the pump in the beginning for like 6-8 seconds. Cant be right... 16. Completely disassemble everything again. Look inside, the pump is not attached to the rubber grommets and is not even screwed down. WTH!!! again... 17. Reattach correctly, double check make sure all wires are securely plugged in. Do my best to fix all the cracks at the bottom. At this point I don't think this is new. Going to my order, yup, new, from amazon itself, but with the box in the condition it was, cracks on the bottom of the unit, one pump wire being completely unhooked, and then the pump itself not properly attach. Yeah, I am upset... 18. Call Swash, Closed, try to call amazon, gave up... Thought a few days before leaving this review...and here it is. It is based solely on the unit working and how it works for what it is designed to do. But JHC all the heck I had to go through myself to get this working. Either way, wife was happy that it worked and I fixed it, I am very happy with how it performs, just be very careful ordering one.

Good Product, Poor Design
Build quality is not great. There is a weak spit in this machine. It does not have very good structural support. The bottom front part of the fascia behind the door will crack and even break off easily. This breakage is likely to occur with even slightly uneven surface. Add the vibrations when the machine is running. When it breaks, it could be hard annoying to close the door. It does take care of wrinkles (tried omit on my dress shirts only, so far) and add a faint pleasant scent to your garments (assuming you use the recommended pods). It does impart linear streaks stains on the garment, but faint enough to be indiscernible even from a short distance.

great product
Have used the Swash for over 1 month now and I definitely like it. However, it may not be for everyone. Let me begin by saying I use dress shirts and pants every day for work, but always have my sleeves rolled up because I am in healthcare. I was spending >$1000 a year on dry cleaning and after a few years realized perhaps this money could be better spent. Since purchasing the Swash, I have not been back to the cleaners. Some advice: First, recall that clothes must be cleaned. At the dry cleaners they are tossed in a machine with chemicals, then specialty ironed. With the Swash, you wash your clothes in the washer, shake them out and lay them in dryer to tumble dry, and then immediately take out of the dryer and hang. Then Swash the clothes prior to going to work. I have found the following to be the case: the Swash is best used for dress shirts, particularly with a polyester blend or wrinkle free. My 100% cotton shirts do not come out as flat. In addition, sleeves do not come out as pressed because of how they are held in place. Pants can be done but I've actually found that most of my dress pants are wrinkle free or some polyester blend that, if taken out of the dryer immediately, fare well without the Swash. Regarding dress shirts, they of course do not come out as crisp as the dry cleaner. I have begun to add a minimal residue starch spray to the front and back of shirts just prior to starting the machine and this helps add stiffness. Overall, this is a great product for someone who does not need perfectly pressed, stiff dress clothes. If you are that person, you will be like me and save tons of money.

Awful, SCAM!!!
WORST product I've bought on amazon so far. I buy most things on amazon due to a health condition rendering errands more problematic than the normal person. When i unpacked this product it looked more like a refurbished item than new as described. Places where light wear and tear from a few uses were evident. "gunk"/residue buildup was already gathered where the 'pods' for the detergent went. used it twice with zero results and now it won't work because it won't close. so you use it twice, doesn't work as it says, then doesn't work it all. NEVER trying this product again and even returning one i bought for a wedding present. seriously reconsidering ever using amazon as a place to buy things ever again. I wish giving 0 stars was possible.

Not worth your money
Delivery: The product arrived 7 days late and did not look exactly new: the front and back panels looked very dusty. Packaging was fine and the UPS staff helped me bring it into my house. Product: Design: As others have stated before: this machine is huge. One should also keep in mind that at least two feet clearance are necessary in order to clip the sleeves behind shirts. If you are planning to keep it in small closet, it probably will not work. The buttons (actually sensors) are also kind of strange and do not respond very well to touch. Performance: It does not do a very good job of taking out wrinkles (the main reason I purchased it) and if not clipped perfectly, it will actually create wrinkles where the clips hold the cloth. Some spots were noticed around the collar area of the shirt, which means the liquid in the pods is not exactly being nebulized properly. It doesn't do a very good job of freshening either, rather it infuses the garment with whatever scents are in the pod. It emits too much "scent" in my opinion and the smell lingers for at least an hour in a well ventilated room. They do have a Sensitive pod which is not as heavily scented, but the rest of the pod scents are too strong. Overall: Swash does not do as much as I expected. It is somewhat difficult to use, does not do a very good job of taking out wrinkles and is only decent at freshening. It is nowhere as good as taking it to the dry cleaners (I understand this is not its stated purpose--but what is its purpose then?) both in respect to its dewrinkling ability and its freshening powers. In the time that you run one cycle you could iron two shirts and they would come out much better. I thought this machine would make my life a little easier but the technology is just not there yet. I will be returning it.

Good product, HORRIBLE service
Works great. I am a little annoyed that it arrived in perfect packaging but some trim at the bottom was smashed. I placed a warranty service call and it was ruled ineligible because the damage was "cosmetic". I spent a lot of money on a brand new unit that came with damage. I am not impressed with the service. (although the service technician was great!) You should not have to accept "cosmetic" damage on a product at this price point. Pods are expensive, but I knew that going into the purchase. Pods price makes this a not everyday use item.

This will be used daily in my household!
This device is absolutely amazing. I wear a business suit every day to the office and I was tired of either having to steam them after every wear, send them to cleaners, or wearing them wrinkled. So I took a gamble on this machine: it paid off. I literally took my suit off, put it on the hanger, clipped on set of fabric holders, popped in a cup, and shut the door...fifteen minutes later a fresh looking suit. I'm not sure it will save me all the money of dry cleaning (sometimes I just wore a slightly wrinkled suit), but it will make me look more professional every day. Forget those reviews that say it doesn't get out every wrinkle...it probably doesn't...but neither are my clothes perfect if I steam them or if I leave the dry cleaning in the back of the car. It freshens your clothes and its good at it. I highly recommend this item and it will be used daily in my household.

money saver
Love this machine don’t care what anyone says I saved so much money on gas and paying for dry cleaning so far I’ve had it for a year and still works great for me it does not clean stains that’s what a clothes washer is used for but it does a hell of a job ironing your clothes and makes them look new and fresh I usually spray clothes with water before using and when I’m out the lil packs thing u put in i usually just use an old one and fill it with water Down part is it only good for one item at a time but I’m still giving it 5 stars for the gas and money I saved Just go for it it’s well worth buying 👌
