Truth be Told: Basics in Catholic Apologetics

This is a perfect book for beginning apologetics. I have purchased it for teens going through confirmation. Many of them report being challenged at school by non-Catholic friends about their faith by other Christians and about belief in God by those agnostic and atheist. Our teens face an ever growing population that is critical of organized religion in general and many are truly hateful of the Catholic Church in particular. Most of these teens have not been catechized since their first communion so are lost. We talk a lot about how to defend their faith throughout their confirmation lessons but I wanted something to give them to go further. This book is perfect. Good coverage of subjects yet short and concise answers written in a clear, not too scholarly format. A must have for everyone who wants to better defend their faith!

I just made a lesson on Mary using this book. It is well written with some angles I hadn't thought about. Easy to understand yet informative.

Addresses all the questions in a clear, quick fashion. I especially liked the lists at the end of each section on where to read more in-depth analysis.

Very easy to read. New way of looking at things. Lots of good comparisons to make deep stuff a lot easier to understand. I really reccommend this for anyone that wants to know more about the faith Catholic or not. Especially if you're are and you have a significant other or lots of friends that aren't but are willing to learn about it.
