Awesome!
I have a new RAV4. I do not drive it a lot. I simply wanted to plug in a solar panel, inside the car and trickle charge it without having to run a wire thru the firewall. The Battery Tender OBDII Adapter Cable works great. A 8 watt solar panel is well within the 3 amp fuse!! If you have a new car, and want to charge THRU a solar panel, use this..

Proper Pinout
Good adapter with proper pinout. Ground is connected to obd2 pin 4 only (and not pin 4 and 5). Recommended.

Ease of use.
I have this plugged in with my solar battery tender unit. Keeps my battery alive for when I park for long periods.

Works as intended, although it seems a bit expensive and one minor annoyance
I work remotely so I end up letting my vehicle sit for longer periods of time sometimes. The quick disconnect is really nice, but be aware that on some vehicles, like mine, the OBDII port is right above the pedals so the cable might snag on your foot if you try to drive with the cable plugged into the port.

Works great for keeping car charged up long term.
Works perfect with the solar panel I purchased. Using it on a 2019 Ford Fusion.

Works as it should
Works as expected. Typical battery tender quality. A little pricey but easy to use. I have it on a 2019 Chevy Cruz diesel and the battery is behind a trim panel in the trunk and there’s no always on cigarette plug. Just make sure the battery maintainer you use is less than 3 amps. I use a battery tender junior.

Fine for low power battery charging, not so good for changing out the battery.
I bought this to use as a power cable to keep the settings in my car's computer when changing the car battery and using an external power source. I could not get it to pass any voltage to the car unless a battery is installed and hooked up in the car. Based on this I feel it will not be your best choice to keep the settings in your car's computer or radio settings while changing the cars battery. A call to Battery Tender's customer service said it was not designed for that purpose. If you are buying this to charge your cars battery from the OBDII connector at a rate of under 3 amps it should work just fine.

Great solution. Should be included with the device
Battery Tender should include this with the maintainer. Beats handling the clamps in the hood or trunk. Works great with a 2007 Honda pilot. The cable is thin enough that doesn’t damage the door seal.

Good product to add functionality to your existing Battery charger.
