Great to add to gumbo to give it a rich flavor. Easy to use.

I bought this out of curiosity mostly, how it looked and how it would taste. I was surprised (not happily) just surprised. After draining the water out of the can the crab only made out about 1/4 of the can. The texture of the meat was another surprise in it of itself. The only description that even comes close is A.C.C.( already chewed crab). There was little to no flavor and if the label on the can didn't say what it was, you couldn't tell what meat you were eating. All in all I would not recommend or buying EVER again. The experience was disappointing and a bit confusing.

Living in AZ raised in PNW I love crab. However, not easy getting fresh down here so resorting to canned crab for my Crab Cakes. Others complain about smell and I noticed too so rinsed in cold filtered water . Squeezed out with lid I eject as much water as possible. Added an egg and bread crumbs and seasoning forming into two cakes. Fried in pan browning both sides until golden brown. Turned out pretty good after all. I do so miss fresh seafood! lol

For at least half the price of all other canned crab meats, you're not going to find big meaty chunks.That said, I ordered this to experiment with making crab cakes so I wasn't concerned about chunks - I drained the water and used the lid to press out more, was left with enough to make 4 decent-sized crab-cakes. Very tasty - not as good as fresh, obviously, but as a convenience/for the cost I'm quite happy.Will buy again once my 3 remaining cans are used.

Since it is pre-flaked, Bumble Bee White Flake Crab Meat in Water works great in quick and easy crab patties and other recipes. Tastes great, is easy to use, and a good value, the can arrived in date and in very good condition. I would definitely purchase this crab meat again; five stars from me.

I wish I could rate this product as a minus zero. It was 99% liquid, there was nothing in it that resembled crab meat. 100% disappointed. I wouldn't eat it, neither would my cat. And Amazon wouldn't accept it for return. I requested a credit and although they said the wound get back to me within 6 hours, it's been 3 days with no response.

Maybe my expectations were too high for an inexpensive product. More than half the volume of the can was water. What was left, I wouldn’t call flakes. Minced might be a suitable word. It made me think of the bits you’d scrape off the surface after you cut something, sort of the crab version of sawdust.
