I've been paying ludicrous prices for this cheese from a vendor in Pennsylvania for almost 10 years.Now that I've found I can get it from Frank & Sal via Amazon at a massively better price, I am beyondthrilled.

This was really the worst Locatelli I've ever ingested. First, I had it for about a week prior to opening (in my refrigerator). When I took it out, it was slimy all over the outside as if it had been frozen and defosted with googy, gummy gunk all over.. The inside was great -- pleasant tasting with a mild and creamy taste. It's a shame for real that so much had to be cut off and discarded. I am from Sicily and have eaten many a good Locatelli -- even at local Italian stores. I thougt this would cheaper to buy in buld than purchasing in-store by the pound. Mistake! There's a saying in Sicilian that everybody that understands English will underatand: The cheap comes out expensive.

The cheese arrived in a cooling wrap with dry ice. It was perfectly preserved and very tasty. It's a bit more piquant than parmesan cheese but will be a delicious addition to many recipes.

Buying cheese from Amazon is something I never thought I would do but was desperate! Only Romano available here was some nasty stuff made in Wisconsin which was just horrid. I was prepared for the worst but was really surprised at how good this is! This tastes like the Romano I had in Italy (which got me helplessly addicted)! The price is very good. It arrived vacuum packed in heavy duty shrink wrap and an ice packet. Highly recommend this very good Romano.

This is my go to Pecorino Romano. It is not available within a hundred miles of me. I was afraid to order online because cheeses are fragile and easily ruined. I did order it because I was desperate. You did such a good job of getting it to me safe and sound. Thank you.
