Q: Is this drop cloth a true 4 ft x 12 ft?

Appears to be. The heavy duty is adequate description, yet I am using these for ceramic tablecloths for my middle school clay students and they are somewhat thinner if you hold them up to the light you can see through them. I am doubling them up by having a seamstress sew two of these 4x12 cloths together. I plan to order more as the price is right.

Q: I need canvas to make outdoor couch cushions with. Is this fabric soft/thick/nice enough for this application?

Nah, I wouldn't consider these high quality for such an application. If you hold it to the light you can see the sun through it. Now if you double it up like I did with a taylor in town they are more dense. Also there are frays and stray threads once and awhile. I exclusively used mine for work table cloths for clay classroom at a middle school art room, so it does the job on that account.

Q: Has any would bleached these for drop cloth curtains and did they lighten up considerably?

I used the drop cloths for curtains and did not bleach them, as they are a pale beige color, not as dark as you might think, and appear even a lighter shade as light passes through them.
