Handy Electric Rope Cutter For Marine Dock And Anchor Lines
I found that this Marine Tech Products 75-7060 "Panther" Electric Rope Cutting Gun was the perfect tool for cutting our marine dock, anchor and towing lines. The cutting gun is light and fits my hands well as it gets hot very quickly while cutting the lines or ropes quick with clean cuts. You are able to shape the end of the ropes with the cutting tip so to fit various floats. The cutting gun also cuts poly webbing. I find that one of a couple shortfalls may be the four foot electric cord for use in your shop but of course you are able to use an extension cord if needed. A second shortfall is that it does not come with a hard carrying case as most products now days do not. The "Panther" seems to be well made and the cutting tip also well made compared to some other brands that I have seen. I did order a spare cutting tip from Marine Tech Products when I placed this order just in case but by the looks and use so far it may be a long time before I have to use it.

Great to have on a boat
Made about 20 cuts on various lines, always neat results. Seems to be durable made. Cord is short. Nice tool overall.
