I needed a tiller. I'm old and slow. The days of digging with a shovel and wrenching a hoe in my garden are over. I still love to be out in the dirt and my flower garden and also vegetable garden. I did a lot of research. I did a lot of comparison. The unit I purchased is a beast. I've rented tillers in the past and they are monsters. They're too big. I wanted something I can get around my existing plants but I also wanted something that I could dig and move dirt to contour some of the hilly area of my flower garden. Then I also needed a tiller too to stir up and dig up last year's garden and mix in new new soil and fertilizer. Let's get real. This unit was extremely simple to put together. Large brightly colored wing nuts and simple assembly. NO MESSING AROUND ADJUSTING AND SECURING THE BLADES OR ANY OF THE DIGGING COMPONENTS. You're simply attaching the handle and getting the cord properly secured so you don't run over it. That's it. This thing digs and is quite impressive. I started out slow and within an hour or so I had it really working very well. It chewed up the clay and I was able to contour and put in a small pond. When you're operating this thing you need to be aware of roots and rocks underground. I never really forced the unit as it pulled and dug very efficiently. I cannot express how well this thing worked for an electric garden tiller. I could move through my azaleas and rhododendrons and lightly dig up the dirt but then again where I wanted to chew up the ground for new plantings this thing went down 8 in and chewed everything up. I highly recommend this unit! TODAY'S 4*11*24 AND I HAVE AN UPDATE ON MY BAD BOY TELLER. I COULD NOT BE MORE IMPRESSED AND ABSOLUTELY PLEASED WITH MY UNIT /TELLER. IT HANDLES SO EFFORTLESSLY YOU JUST HAVE TO HANG ON TO IT WHILE THE BLADE DID TO YOUR DESIRED DEPTH. I USED IT FOR A WHILE AND THEN PULLED THE PIN SO IT COULD GO FREEFORM AND DIG DEEPER. I HAVE ACTUALLY CONTOURED MY GARDEN WHICH IS VERY HILLY AND I HAVE BEEN ABLE TO LEVEL IT OUT, THIS THING WORKS BEAUTIFULLY! I DON'T RUN IT MORE THAN AN HOUR OR SO AT A TIME. I MAKE SURE THE BLADES ARE CLEAR OF PLASTIC STRINGS AND WHATEVER JUNK THEY PICK UP. YOU CAN WASH IT WITH A GARDEN HOSE BUT A BRUSH CLEANS THE BLADES QUITE NICELY. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS UNIT, THIS BRAND, THIS SIZE, BECAUSE IT ALSO ALLOWS YOU TO WORK AROUND YOUR EXISTING PLANTS AND STIR UP THE DIRT. A+ PLUS PLUS PLUS PLUS

Not sponsored! genuine paying customer!! So, I was skeptical at first. Wasn't sure if I wanted to go electric or gas. but didn't want the hassle of either! All of the reviews (good ones) were right! Delivered in original product box, in good shape and no damage! Easy to put together, with just a few minutes. Very easy operation and really NO maintenance. I see some reviews talk about maybe a silly scratch or something on the finish, mine did not have any but come on, its a tiller and its going to get banged up!! First garden in over 10 yrs, and was planning a swath about 25' X 11'. I am so impressed with the power of this tiller, it definitely wore me out! It was capable of pulling rocks about the size of my fist, the soil was just right not dry or too wet and I did not even remove top layer of sod before tilling! I powered through the soil up to the 8" depth that was stated. Never took any brakes (except when I was tired) never heated up or faltered! I feel that this tiller could be handled/operated by most gardeners. Easy handles to pick up and not very heavy. Definitely takes up a lot less room for storing. the only problem after a few hours of use was the soft foam/rubber grip on handle got torn. The run handle to make it operate puts wear and tear. But not an issue at all for me. Definitely a true believer. I would recommend this tiller to anyone!

Received my tiller today. Assembly took about 10 minutes. No issue with excess oil that some others mentioned. I used it immediately to till my 150 sq ft garden. It worked extremely well, grinding up wet dirt into fine particles. Will probably go over it 2 more times before planting in early May. It is light weight and easy to use. As others said it works best pushing it forward and then pulling it back. This is not equivalent to a heavy duty gas tiller, but for household gardens it is a perfect substitute at a reasonable price.

Good solid tiller. Been using gas powered tillers for 23 yrs at my home. Was very, very hesitant to pull the trigger on an electric machine. After weighing cost of gas vs electric vs battery, and cost of ownership, carb problems, mixing oil and gas, battery life…decided on this brand and model. I heck you not when I say this is a powerful machine. Of course if you are tilling the back forty… this probably isn’t for you. I was pleasant surprised by its capability. Solid gear box With plenty of power.

To be honest I thought it wouldn’t, so the job. I was amazed at how great this unit worked. It went through the old lawn like it was butter. Touch on rocks and roots with now problems. If you clean the roots off occasionally while using it, the motor does not get overworked. It dug down 8” amd tilled the soil great. Good inveatment

this tiller has much more power I thought. assembly is straightforward. it took me about 15 min to figure out how to set it up and get it working. small rocks and roots won't affect its running. I got my 400 sq ft land done in less than 15 min. In all, I like this machine and am not regret buying it.

Vraiment bien. Mais si on veut l'utiliser pour détruire la pelouse et se faire un jardin, c'est trop léger. J'ai découpé la pelouse en petits carrés avec une pelle pour ensuite utiliser ce rotoculteur. Il mélange bien et assez creux pour un bon jardin. Je le recommande pour votre jardin ou vos plates bandes.

i tilled a 700 sq ft garden with ease. it works great and is light and easy to handle. as with any machine, use it within its limits and make sure the lube points are checked during and after use. otherwise, great for the home gardener.!
