Nature SPA by AVPpet Basic Fountain for Pets

I bought this fountain because I needed a larger water dish for may 4 cats. I thought they would find the sound interesting. They did find it interesting, particularly for swatting at the fountain of water. I finally set it in a large tray to keep the floor dry.Pros: the cats find it interesting; there is sufficient water for my 4 cats for a whole day; it was inexpensiveCons: the charcoal filter is small and totally worthless; if the charcoal filter was also intended to trap cat hair, it doesn't; the pump becomes clogged with cat hair in about 3 days; cleaning the pump is not difficult, but not easy.Would I recommend it or buy it again? Probably not. I would opt for one with a larger reservoir, better filter, and more accessible pump (no matter how good the filter, the pump will need to be cleaned occasionally).

This works ok - and the cat is willing to drink from it, which is something. The problem is that the "fountain" clogs frequently and doesn't work until you dump out the water and thoroughly clean it inside and out. And I've never been able to find anything obviously clogging it, so whatever it is must be minuscule. This pet fountain is something you must clean and change at least every other day, which is a little different from just refilling the cat's drinking water bowl. The price was reasonable as pet fountains go - you get what you pay for.Update: I wrote that shortly after receiving it in May. It is now August and it has completely died, but it is no longer available for return or replacement according to Amazon policies.

My cats really seem to like this fountain. It took me a few months of owning it to realize that you can take it all the way apart to clean, there was some gunky algae built up in the water tubes but we've had it for about 5 months and we are liking it. It goes through a lot of water but I'm hoping that means its also acting as a humidifier in my house! If you aren't sure if your pet will like a fountain this is a great first buy!

My 14 year-old cat is very "set in her ways," and I wasn't sure if she'd be interested in this. After filling it up and plugging it in, she went at it! She typically makes huge messes at her water bowl by splashing water with her paw, because she enjoys the bubbles it creates. Now, she doesn't do that because the fountain makes the bubbles, and she just drinks from it! No mess! My opinion, it was a great investment, especially for the well-being of my older baby!

This a nice simple pet fountain. It runs just fine but its motor is a bit noisy. It doesn't hold a lot of water but it's not the primary water source for our cats. Since I got it at a much lower price than some sellers were asking for it, I am satisfied with it. I would not pay full retail for this though.

I have a very finicky senior male cat who is afraid of everything new that I bring into the house. Well, to my utter surprise I see him lapping water from the fountain spout. Amazing. I was wondering why the other two water bowls in the bathroom, that they typically prefer, were not as low as usual. The one I thought would take to it did not and uses the other fountain I have, and the one I thought would never take to it did. It is quiet and has a large surface that cats prefer to drink from. The price was very reasonable, but I feel the filters are expensive (2 for 14.00), seeing they are very small. I clean it every 2 weeks and reuse the filter (after rinsing) a couple of times. Overall, very happy with this product and would purchase again.

I like the fountain however at first the pump was very quiet but after about an hour of it running it became very loud, I followed the directions exactly in setting it up.

contantly clogs up with MILDEW. Must clean weekly with disinfectants and way too many crooks and corners for slim and such to collect. Simple water bowls stay cleaner and much much easier to maintain
