Sturdy construction with a substantial tube that works effortlessly!

This tube holds about 24 golf balls. It has a cap on the top to hold the balls in so they don’t all spill out when I lay the tube down in my car or wherever. The cap is removable so don’t forget to put it back on when walking away. The metal clips at the bottom where the balls get picked up works perfectly. This tube is much easier to dump out the golf balls than the shag bag style. The length of the tube is perfect for me as I’m 5’7” tall. It’s just like the ones you get at driving ranges only better with the end cap.

For years I have used a shag tube exactly like this at our local driving/chipping range and admired its sturdy construction and usefulness and was very happy to see it available on Amazon. This thing is industrial grade and built to last and I now use it all the time at a local chipping range where you need to bring your own golf balls. I do wish it had some sort of mechanism on the top to stop the balls from escaping (I use a piece of duct tape), otherwise this is a perfect solution to what was a problem. This is highly recommended by me.

I have now been using this product regularly for over a year. It’s been knocked around in the trunk of my car and used at least twice per week. Still functions as new. No dents or issues at all. Does not dent the greens. If you are looking for a shag bag or tube, buy this one and you will be done.

I would categorize myself as a Golf Professional. It was, and is my vocation of choice. I have had experience with many different shag bags/tubes, I purchased this one after two years of observation/using the two CCE Shag Tubes that our Director of Instruction has had for many years. One of the few items I was able to absolutely justify the expense of. Will not damage your greens, leaves the smallest “footprint” of any.

It's great! Super easy to use and very practical. We compared it to another style that "grabs" each ball individually, and this one rocks. You can pick up around 20 balls in the same time it takes to pick up 4 with the other style. And, you don't have to carry around a separate container with this one, it's all in one. It's fantastic.

This is a well made and high-quality shag tube, for sure, but I have to knock off one star for the end cap. Once the cap is fully seated on the end of the tube, it is very difficult to get off. And once it’s off, it’s just as hard to get it back on again. The process of removing and replacing the cap is so time-consuming that it’s not practical to use it while practicing. I put it on going to and from my practice area, but while I’m there I just leave it off until I’m done hitting balls. Other than the cap, though, this is the best shag tube out there by far. Don’t waste your money on one of those cheap plastic things from China; get this one and you can pass it on to your kids and grandkids.

I looked at several other similar products but this golf ball retriever has no plastic parts that might break.
