I bought this for my 2002 Polaris magnum 325 that was sitting for 10 years in the Florida elements. This starter fires the ATV right up. I will say though, find a video on YouTube on how to install this bad boy. It was a PITA trying to get this starter in and bolted down, I tried for a couple of hours. But after watching a video, I got it installed in 20 minutes.

Replaced the stock starter with this one. Spins over strong, seems to be same dimension as original starter. Started the wheeler at least a dozen times already and hasn’t failed or gotten any weaker like some other post say.

This started is working good so far on my 02 polaris ranger 500 6x6 . I've had it for about 3 months now . Some people complain it's to loud when starting but I don't see any difference from the original

I just had this professionally installed on our old 2003 Polaris Sportsman 6X6. It fit exactly like the old one and was reasonably priced and quick delivery. I'm only giving it 3 stars right now as when you start the atv it makes a very loud, high pitched screeching. The atv starts fine and I have my fingers crossed that this will last. I'll update my review if there are further problems.Update - At 10 months with very minimal use the starter is no longer engaging the engine and we have to use the pull rope which is very difficult. I'm initiating a return with the seller as it has a one year warranty. I'm not optimistic as they never responded to my earlier concerns. It's still screeching. I would not recommend this starter and am downgrading my review to 2 stars - and that only because it was so inexpensive.Update #2. I contacted DB Electrical and they have told me that since I ordered it through Amazon and am not in their customer database then I have to return it to Amazon. However the thirty day return period is long expired so that's a no go. They refused to answer any questions of mine concerning the stated one year warranty. The starter still makes a terrible noise and is engaging intermittently. Thankfully I ordered a different starter from another company and I will never have to deal with DB Electric again. Buyer beware because there is no support for this product. Amazon take note that this vendor does not stand behind it's product or honor the published warranty period.

More power and quick start with this guy! Installation is tight but can be done by anyone on 03 Ranger 4x4. Remove the carburetor and there it is. I did cut 1/8 inch of the back bolt so i could turn the starter into position without removing more components. Ive used it for a week. No problems!

Fit my 2001 polaris sportsman 400 perfect. Ordered this on a Friday and it arrived on Saturday the started ended up being defective when I tested it on Sunday. I put in a exchange on Amazon at i had a working starter by Monday. Despite the fact that the first one was defective. The customer service and the end product was perfect. Not sure of the longevity but I will add more to my review if I have problems. Only reason for 4 stars is because I shouldn't have recived a defective one in the first place.

It worked well. But sounds a bit odd when cranking. Kind of has me worried. But we will see how long it lasts.

I'm not certain of the life expectancy of this product, but it works for now. The installation went well, but when i start my quad, the starter has a whine sound that my original never made. I don't use my quad daily, so maybe it will last for a while. Here's hoping.
