The PWS 24V40VA is an inexpensive AC transformer that can be used to supply 24VAC power to a single camera or other device. It features 3 wire connection. DO NOT USE WITH DC.

Just a heads up for those with a Railbird system
My irrigation system failed and it became apparent the transformer was not supplying the 24v AC.I purchased this transformer to fix that but after a week the new transformer also failed. Contacted an Irrigation professional and he said it was common for one of the solenoids in the system to fail and if the fuse in the control unit was too high an ampage (ie 2 amps - should be 1 amp) the transformer will blow. We found the offending solenoid by removing the wires from the control / timing unit and ohmed out each leg to ground. the one that was zero ohms was bad. Replaced the solenoid and fitted another Transformer and everything is good now. So if you Transformer blows check the solenoids before you power it up or you too could be buying another one.

Cheaper at Home Depot
You can get a cheaper version of these transformers at Home Depot. Also advertised for 24 volt output but actually puts out 32 volts

The one was broken right when I installed it luckily prime is easy return and get a replacement. Other than that it is great.

Defective unit
Transformer was defective. Only 10v on the secondary. Nice long cord though.
