Roller Derby STR Seven Men's Quad Roller Speed Skates

Can’t beat the price. Pays for itself in one trip to the rink. Great starter skates to get before investing in an expensive pair. They’re comfortable and look nice. Good padding around the ankle. I wear a size 10 shoe. I ordered a 9 and they fit well. (Same size I get for rentals). Son wears a rental 7 normally but he said they’re a little snug so we’re getting him a size 8. Wheels at 84a hardness have super good grip. Bearings are smooth. Get a skate tool (5$) to make adjustments as needed and to rotate your wheels (just like tires) every 8-10 hours of use. For speed skating indoors you may want to upgrade the bearings and wheels later.

Bought these to bring my battery powered rollerblades back to life with 2 more wheels thinking it would be more stable that way for newbies. So far it hasn't worked out the way I imagined it. It's NOT like "you never forget how to ride a bike". I barely made it around my dining room table without falling down and I was hanging onto the table! Lesson learned? Don't expect to automatically remember how to roller-skate after a 20 year hiatus. The wheels spin fine though and I'M sure a ten year old boy would be able to do a LOT better job than I did flying down the sidewalk with these than I did because they really are a great pair of roller-skates.

If you just want a comfortable skate for the rink then these should be fine. They were smooth to skate in and don't slide around on the rink. Most of my issues were derby related. If you are looking for skates for derby you should pass on these as there are a few things that were off for me. If you're new to derby I recommend visiting a local skate shop and getting more info and/or fitted for skates. You don't have to buy right then, but they can help you figure out what you should be looking for. Back to this product. -The skates are comfortable, but don't fit as snug as I needed for roller derby. -The trucks (things the wheels attach to and control your turning) came much looser than recommended by my instructors for new skaters and after a couple uses I could hear one of the trucks rattle when I shook my foot which meant it was going to fall off soon. Fortunately you can just tighten those up. -The toe stops are replaceable, but not adjustable. Adjustable toe stops are very helpful in derby unless your toe stops happen to be at the perfect height naturally.

I love these so far. I’m still getting used to them but so far I really like them they're comfortable pretty high quality they fit good and it’s easy to move and turn faster. I also like the way it looks and perform similar to expensive ones. I definitely think this is a good place to start if you want to start speed skating.

Si te estás iniciando en un deporte tipo roller derby o simplemente te apetece patinar en quads, estos patines son una súper buena opción. Son sólidos y cómodos, se adaptan bien y las ruedas, aunque son un poco duras al principio, después de rodarlas un poco se van reblandeciendo, aunque si no te convencen se pueden cambiar por relativamente poco dinero. Como punto negativo, los cordones son de muy mala calidad (pero eso se soluciona fácil y barato comprando unos buenos de repuesto), y el taco es MUY pequeño y no se puede cambiar por taco grande ya que el tornillo que lo sujeta es muy fino. Esto sí puede ser un problema para patinar y es un fallo de diseño importante. Por lo demás, de momento geniales.

good quality, boot a bit stiff, but expect that will soften with time

Just tried these skates out at the rink near my place today. They were extremely comfortable, allowed me to move fast with ease and seem well made. I have wide feet and they did feel a little tight after an hour of skating but I think they will be fine after I have worn them in a bit more.
