super fun to mess around with and bully your friends. I got black and the paint rubbed off after a day and got on my hands and its annoying to get off. get silver and you won't have this problem.

Ends are very sharp!!!
Popped the thing apart and can not for the life of me get it to close back together. Read the instructions. Watched youtube videos on how to do it. Still can't do it. I think the gold wrap that is installed on mine, makes for too much friction when closing. Oh well...Worst part of this stick? Was trying to close it with the cloth glove they provide and made the mistake of pushing, with the palm of my hand, on the open end of the stick without even thinking about it. Sliced right through the glove and cut a nice little circle into my hand. DO NOT BUY THIS FOR CHILDREN! The open end is razor sharp. Didn't even take half a second and just a little bit of force to cut me open.

Cool easy to use trick
I was very intimidated by this product after reading reviews for other silmilar products that mentions the person cut themselves using it. I used this product with gloves, but would feel comfortable using it without gloves. I think that must have been people with softer/thinner skin than what I have.The prodict is super easy to use. Although the instructional video makes it look harder than what it is. You just push in the pin while gripping tightly, then when you loosen your grip it appears. It takes some practice to time your grip so it doesn't fly out your hand. Also, if you don't release you grip enough, it slows the unraveling.

Great little gadget. And sturdy!
This is a fun little gadget. And even more sturdy than I anticipated. And quite springy! I seriously suggest using the gloves for a few times, until you get the timing (sharp edges when springing out). I suggest even better gloves when recoiling the spring system... and watch the "how-to" videos on you tube dot com. They will help make it easy.

Horrible
Easily opened, never could get it to close. After trying to close it the first time, it had ripped through the glove and cut me. Later on while still trying to close it, my other hand got cut up as well. Would never recommend this as a gift

More ideal for adults!
Product was as described. However, I think I was expecting it to be more “kid friendly”. I have an 11 and 12 year old. They had a blast with these, but they had to had to use some force to push the metal wand down into itself. It would leave little bruises on their legs. I would definitely recommend this for adults!

this looked great. tried it out. surprisingly after watching 1 video got the hang of opening and closing it with ease. warning it can be sharp metal on closing so be careful. a fun item though.

Functionality and compression technique
Great product and delivery time does exactly what I want it to do. Requires a good technique to compress it back to size. Watch your fingers/hands.
