After failing to find any user reviews of the Super Ride hitch
For the record, I often purchase at Amazon, but bought this elsewhere. After failing to find any user reviews of the Super Ride hitch, I finally just bought it to try. This is my impressions after installation and a short test drive. I hope it helps you make a more informed decision:Tested Equipment: --- Silverdo 2500 HD with Timbren Jounce Springs, 6.5 ft Bed --- MorRyde Rubber Extended Pin Box --- 37 Ft Cardinal RV, approx.. 2,500# pin, 13,500# trailer weight --- Super Ride, by Blue Ox: Rail mountedRide: --- Over a 30 mi test run including some rough highway, my wife and my subjective opinion was the Super Ride was noticeably smoother. We were very pleased. Hard to project what it might be like without the MorRyde box, but clearly the Super Ride helps smooth the ride.--- I was concerned the combination of the MorRyde and Super Ride might provide too much system flexibility, but seemed fine on this short test.Maneuvering Position:--- It worked great with over 90 deg turn possible, with above equipment.WARNING!!!There are several ways to get into trouble when moving the connection back 11” with the extended pin box, WITH ANY BRAND HITCH. This NOT a complete list, just a couple things to think about.---The extended pin box tail end, with the 6.5 Ft bed, MAY HIT THE TAIL GATE when pivoted back. Put the tailgate down first!--- Tail end of the extended pin box & frame when turned sharply, extends over the truck bed rail. Depending on hitch height, terrain levelness, details of pin box/frame, and more, the HITCH MAY HIT THE TRUCK bed rails. I have seen some newer extended pin boxes & frame that have the back corner angled to help prevent this. (Cutting the back corner off the pin box &/or frame off and reinforcing is at your risk. Only qualified persons/firms should even consider it.)Misc:--- The hitch height adjusts in approx. 1,25” increments vs. the 1” published.--- At the middle height, I measured 18.4” from truck bed to hitch top, without load.---The height decreased only slightly when the 2,500 # pin weight was applied, maybe 0.2”.---To adjust the height requires a 5/8” Allen wrench or hex bit socket. Available, but not real common.---On mine, the back two latches to the standard rail are too short to be tightened. I don’t yet have a plan.---Keepers on L pins to the standard rails are hard to install. I needed a flash light, needle nose pliers and to stand on my head.---I am 66 and can lift the hitch components without much difficulty.ON BALANCE I AM PLEASED WITH IT!!! For me, the ride improvement makes it worth the money. I believe it will extend trailer frame life.

Don't do it
Do not buy this if you actually travel! Last spring we traveled from south GA to Washington state for work. Was brand new. Travel there was great. We are a Ford super duty 250 pulling a Keystone raptor 5th wheel. We have the blue ox super ride Bxr7200. But come October it was time to travel home for the winter. About 1/2 way home, the hitch started flipping by itself. Everyone we stopped it would slam forward into the towing position. Every time we accelerated or climbed a hill it would slam backwards into the maneuver position. We babied it home. Called blue ox and they sent a new one and we sent that one back. We installed it. We'll this year, about a month ago, work sent us to up state new York. Again, pulled great on the way up, but yesterday day 2nd of 3 day trip, it started doing same thing!! We again babied it home. This time hubbie wrapped and tightened a ratchet strap and it held it till we got home. We will be calling blue ox Monday morning!

Terrible product!
While pulling my 35 ft fifthwheel, this hitch failed, collapsed and destroyed my tailgate!
