Ball side attached great to the ram mount but when attaching the split connected side to a GoPro7 Black it was too loose on the Camera. There was a lot of slop in the fitting before tightening. My standard GoPro mounts have much loser tolerance and resistance even before tightening the screws. Not so with this mount. I can not tighten the screw enough by hand to keep camera it from easily moving and the plastic is already bending to try and pinch the camera (and I'm not weak either) . I'm afraid to tighten this with pliers etc as it might break? It should not have to be tightened so so hard to hold the camera from moving. A couple more MM in width on each tab is needed. I don't want to add thin washers and keep the mount attached semi-permanently to the bezel.

Not a bad mount, but having a capped nut prevents tightening down sufficiently on some attachments.

The GoPro mount is just a little loose unless you crank the screw down enough to bend the plastic towards itself or wedge in a washer to fatten up the screw bite. Else your camera will be a bit tippy. The product is a nice idea, it does work... but it could be better. The ball itself needs not to be cranked down too much on your connectors, because the rubber will rip off, especially when you're trying to crank the screw down on the GoPro part... you can make it work, but about 3 stars worth. 5 would require the plastic pieces to be just a little close together.

I bought this product for my underwater camera tray. Fits perfectly. The only problem is the go pro mount slots are a bit to wide, maybe even a fraction of a millimeter but makes a big difference when tightening the go pro in place. It’s too loose and keeps falling downward. I engineered a quick solution to narrow the gap space (on the go pro mount) but not sure how well it’ll hold, specially when wet.

Actually haven't used it yet. However. have mounted it on the motorcycle and it appears to fit perfectly in a position where I can have a clear forward view while having full control of the camera. Should be just the thing I was looking for.I had previously used a forward mount and could only control the camera when I was stopped.

Have purchased a lot of Rams mounts over the years, but this mount they have missed it. It needs to have a collet built up on the screw side. Will not tighten up and camera just flops over. Will have to make trip to hardware store to fine the correct size spacer or washer so it can be tighten up.

It came apart not long after I began using it. It's as if they just added another layer of rubber over a smaller ball in order to make it 1"
