OOld Spice was the first aftershave I bought when I started shaving regularly, way back in 1956. Once or twice, I tried other brands, but after one bottle, or one I remember throwing away after using it twice, it was back to Old Spice. It has a masculine fragrance that is not overpowering. Every bottle is just like the one before, i.e., the quality is 100%. To you, young men just starting the lifetime routine of shaving, give Old Spice Original a try. nice scent, not overwhelming..

5 stars for the product being what was advertised, intact & on time. But sadly, the Old Spice fragrance of days gone by, no longer exists. Even right out of the bottle, before the alcohol evaporated away, it used to smell so fresh and clean, and so dignified! Many of us fans of it dearly loved it! I don't know why it was changed, but now even a brand new bottle of after shave or cologne, even after we apply it & right after the alcohol evaporates, it always smells bitter & stale. I suppose the element that used to provide the splendid fragrance was found to have carcinogens & it's former intensity of usage banned by law. I have seen a few bottles of the original fragance at a flea market, but of course age had greatly altered the fragrance. The Old Spice for men version used to smell very masculine, but the old, stale bottles i had seen smelled intensely like a Love's Baby Soft scent i recognised from cosmetics girls that i knew were using, definitely not a masculine scent. You can tell the current bitter, stale smelling newly bought Old Spice from that from the bygone days when it smelled so wonderfully fresh, clean & yet masculine, as the old bottles had a gray plug at the top, the current bottles have a red cap. And the only reason I still buy it now is that it does have a very small trace of the good original scent, or a scent somewhat like it & this is as close as I can come to having the original great fragrance. But like so many other things, the cost has increased greatly. A variation of the current "classic" Old Spice scent is called "Original", but IMHO isn't any different, or at least any better, than the "Classic " scent. So, buyer beware, the current Old Spice versions may be disappointing.

Don’t make my mistake! I did not read the product description carefully. I thought I was buying cologne but instead purchased after shave. It’s a good product but does not have the “staying” power of cologne.
