Works on Small Container Ponds
For a few years, we have been battling green water in a small container pond in our garden. The majority of solutions catered to large, expansive ponds, but we still tried them. We've tried microbial additives, algae-suppressing chemicals, and have changed out the water completely multiple times. Nothing worked. The blooms returned, usually within days. This worked! The algea was so thick that you couldn't see an inch down into the water. Looks like this stuff made the algea clump so the filter pad we use can actually catch it. After 2-3 days, I can see the bottom. Suspect it will be completely clear by the end of the week.If you are using this for a small container pond: (1) make sure you have a filter medium on your pump. If it's a basic pump, order some sheet filter, cut it to size and use rubber bands to secure it around the water vent. This product doesn't magically erase the algae, it just binds it so the filter can catch it. (2) Change that filter ever day or two. Attached photo is what my filter pad looked like 2-3 days after adding the clarifier. My little clawfoot bathtub pond is looking good again and my goldfish are so much happier and healthier.

Amazing Stuff!
Added to my very cloudy and murky outdoor pond one night and by the next morning it was crystal clear. Didn't harm my fish. It did clog my filter which I expected. Highly recommend.

It's ok
This didn't work as well as I thought it would. I had a hard time getting my pond clear this year. It always worked before so I don't know if they changed the formula.Or I just didn't work this time.

Works… really works
This works. Barley straw did not. We have a very small pond, only about a 40 gallon capacity, which we built for a wonderful old box turtle who used to live here. I've kept it anyway because it's just such a neat little spot. No fish in it. There are some algae issues, but mostly the water just gets very cloudy and murky, even though a strong pump keeps the water moving. The directions on this product say that it will cause all the contaminants in your pond to clump together for easy removal, and it does. I use a kitchen strainer to remove them. A little TetraPond goes a long way -- since our pond is so small I use only about a tablespoon mixed in about a quart of water. I pour it in the pond in a spiral fashion, agitate it a bit with the stream from the garden hose and leave it alone. In 24 hours the water is absolutely crystal clear. Amazingly so. Clear water over pebbles and seashells is just a lovely sight, as this photo shows. There's 7" - 8" of water in the pond, but it's like the water's not even there. A tablespoon twice a week is all it takes to keep the pond healthy and looking so enticing. Happy customer.

It really works
I used it 4 times. Put in my first treatment, the next day, i cleaned the pump and redid one treatment, the following day the water was clearer and recleaned the pump. waited a week I was out for 4 days came back to green water retreated, the next day, cleaned the pump and retreated, to my amazement the following morning the water was crystal clear. it works but you need to retreat and clean the pump each time, you wouldn't believe it. I am thrilled with this product. Put in the work and watch the magic happen. I have Goldfish in it all were doing well.

Love Tetra products, this one did not work for me.
Took longer than 3 days on the bottle, and a little extra elbow grease, but my pond is clear again. Still orange, but the water is clear. This is the first Tetra product I am not loving. My pond was a green mess with algae and I bought the pond blocks and sludge tablets and within days the green was gone and I could once again see my fish and turtles. I was so happy, but my pond was now an orange-brown. I am the first to admit, I don't know very much about maintaining my pond, but I thought the pond clarifier may help with this and since the other products worked so well, might as well give it a shot. I followed the directions exactly. Pond has a water fall, so constant water aeration, and I went out several times to mix it up.As soon as I started pouring my clarifier/water bucket in I saw the water was turning milky white. No big deal, will wait and see what happens. The milky white eventually turned into a brownish color and stayed that way. Finally I did a partial water change and refilled. Today is the first day I can start to see the bottom of the pond again, though not cleared up. I cleaned the filters and my pump to make sure there was no debris on anything and trying to get it to filter out. I may need to do another partial water change.I am not happy with the results from this. I don't know what the issue could be, as I followed directions exactly. I am going to stick with the pond blocks and sludge tablets, they work great and I am happy Tetra makes them, I guess I will just have orange tinted water. On the plus side, no issues with turtles or fish. I have 3 turtles, 4 huge goldfish and a ton of mosquito fish, none were harmed in any way.

It works
I have a 300+ gallon pond that was really murky and this stuff cleared it right up without bothering the fish. It does make everything settle to the bottom, so a filter is a good idea also.
