To be expected
I purchased my warmer in March of 2023 every time we go on vacation. I bring it with, that is about twice a year. It heaps up meat really good. I wrap the heat in tinfoil. In it, heat set pretty evenly and it takes thirty minutes. I might go ahead and purchase another one.So in case i'm warming up multiple things, it'll be quicker. I wish they would make one. They had a bigger capacity, so you can't warm up more than just one thing at a time. I don't use mine as a lunchbox for car traveling. I use mine more for hotel rooms because they do not have microwaves.

GREAT choice for anyone trying to eat healthy "on the go" or
This product is going to change the way I "do lunch" on the go! It holds a reasonable portion, and the heating feature is surprisingly efficient (just don't expect "instant"). It took about 35 minutes to heat a 20 oz can of Brunswick Stew. Food heated in a microwave cools rather quickly, but this unit stays warm for a while, even after the power is turned off. I love that I can use it both at my desk at work, and/or in my car! I will be keeping it in my car (along with a few canned soups or stews) so I can have a hot meal without having to go into a restaurant (important to me during this pandemic) or having to eat drive-thru fast food. It will also be going camping with me, so if the weather gets too nasty for a fire or camp stove, I can still heat up a can of soup or make hot chocolate. And ... carry along some hamburger buns, and you've got Sloppy Joes on the go!The only way I can think to improve this product would be to offer a custom sized insulated nylon carrying bag with extra space for drinks and a cold pack, so fresh food could be kept cold before using the warmer. This can be accomplished with a separate mini-cooler, but it would be super convenient to have it all in one pack. Also, if I could have found one that was "Made In The USA," I would have happily paid more for it. This unit is made in China.I did not rank it for durability, and I have not had it for very long. The way I see it, for the price I paid, if I get four or five uses out of it that keeps me from buying lunch out somewhere, then it has earned it's keep. Anything beyond that is "bonus miles" but it appears to be well designed and well made.I would recommend this product to others (and will be buying a few as gifts for friends who are trying to eat healthier on the go).

I have my doubts but it looks serviceable
Edit: added a star. It's been surprisingly useful. I heat the container during my drive to work (50 min) and then heat it again during lunch time (15-30 min) and it's been working great. If your lunch time is short, then it might not work for you but you may be able to heat it at work before lunch. I can't do that so this stays in my car but my lunch time is at least an hour so even after reheating it for 30 min, I have enough time to eat. Cleanup has been easy too. There's absolutely no insulation to this product so I doubt this will perform like you want in cold weather. The heating element simply will not be able to keep up with the ambient chill. That said, in a heated setting, it should work, although I've only tried with the AC power. It heats up leftover food but the bottom tends to burn. I actually keep the vent closed because I just don't think the heating element is robust enough to matter if it's vented or not. I think it'll heat things up faster unvented. The plastic tray inside is fairly flimsy and it gets easily stained by pasta sauce. I'll see if it comes off. A simple soap and water didn't work. It's obviously not dishwasher safe (too thin and flimsy). The aluminum main tray is thin. That probably helps it to heat up faster but I think it'll have durability concerns. The bottom especially could be a major problem because if it deforms out of shape, it'll lose contact with the heating element in the unit. If you ever tried to use a frying fan that has bowed, you'll know what I mean. A slightly thicker, more robust bottom would have been nicer, even at the cost of somewhat slower heating. While it might heat up slower, it will also retain the heat longer too so it'd be a net wash, with the benefit of better durability. If the container doesn't sit absolutely flush with the heating element, then this thing basically becomes useless. All in all, as long as I'm careful with it and use it within the limitations I cited, I think it'll work. I fight rig an insulation blanket or something so it can warm up during commute and stay warm until lunch time.

Was sceptical
So I bought this for my husband for Christmas. I thought it would be good for him to heat his lunch on the go. He is a truck driver... local but still in the truck all day. He sometimes brings lunch but not much hot food because he has to mooch the microwave at his stops, then the food gets cold before he gets to it. He had a heart attack a few years ago and should eat more healthy but often relied on gas station food. Which we all know... mostly isn’t healthy. So I bought this hoping that it would get used and not sit in the truck unused.... it was a complete hit!!!! I have never seen him more excited! He has used it every day since the new year! He takes my home made soups that I freeze almost every day! I have been making him healthy breakfasts in the morning. Wrapped in foil he just pops them into this wonderful contraption and within minutes they are hot and he can enjoy them on the go! Five stars! My husband is eating healthier, we are saving money on lunch money spent! Win win!
