ESV Illuminated Scripture Journal: Old and New Testament Sets

I wanted to study the Bible so badly, but my own Bible was getting written all over and I had so many notes I wanted to take, but didn't fit. Not to mention the overload of seeing so much info to read on all pages... I needed to organize the chaos of my mind and start from the beginning. In comes this set. OMG 😲 I am in LOVE!! I started reading from Genesis... now in Exodus. I can write my thoughts as I go, and I only pull one book at a time. Finish one and put it away and continue with the next one. It makes it easier for my chaotic mind, to organize my thoughts, write down my questions, lessons learned, etc... it is exactly what I needed to get me through to read the Bible. I can take the book I am reading with me easily when I got out and have a chance to sit down and read, as it fits nicely into a medium sized purse or backpack. Also, I am able to read more than one chapter at a time now. I hadn't realized that the chaos of having so much information packed on each page was overwhelming me when reading directly from the Bible. These books offer verses on the left side and an empty page on the right side to write down your comments, questions, etc... the blank page has very light dots in a line to help keep your writing straight but I hardly see it, so I have the flexibility of writting smaller or larger than the intended spaces and it doesn't bother me. If you want well defined dark lines to write on, just keep this in mind. Since getting this set, the study of the Bible has been so much easier. It has allowed me to push forward with my goal of reading ALL the Bible in a way that is comfortable and enjoyable for me. Plus the covers and boxes are beautiful. I had seen reviews of people saying that the books had some edges that were not perfect, and yes it has been the same with mine. BUT it is too insignificant and you won't even see it when you open a book and start reading. Highly recommend this set.

I love these. I wanted to be able to sit down with one book of the Bible. The covers are beautiful. The text is all on the left-side, with the right-side blank for journaling or sketching or whatever you want to do. Some pages have a little verse art, but most of them are blank. Font size was important to me, and these are perfect-not too small, not too big.

These are beautiful! The type face is bigger and the note taking space is amazing! Every other page is a note taking page!!! The paper quailty is thicker which gives them a nice weight. I'll be using them to make art on the blank pages. The actual Word of God is beautifully translated and very relatable in this version. I honestly have a hard time putting them down when my bible study time is up! I would recommend them!

Finishing the Bible has always seemed overwhelming. Even as someone who is always enjoyed reading, the thick spine and thin pages are always apparent to me while flipping through. I recently decided I wanted to get my own Bible, and thought a study Bible or something a little bit more novel would help hold my attention stronger. But then I found this set; It not only breaks the books down individually(there are a few books with multiple within ) but each book has a unique and absolutely gorgeous cover, easy to read cream color pages(this is very important to me) with every other page left blank for notes and art. I genuinely was nervous because I haven’t read a physical book in years, all audio or e-books. But I got through all of creation and past the flood last night before I looked up and realized how long I had been reading for. I am genuinely so pumped to see how much i can get from it, actually being able to enjoy and focus in what I’m reading rather than periodically dreading all i have left 🌟🙏🏻

Beautiful set of Bible Journals. Plenty of room for notes. Truly, one of a kind. Mine came triple wrapped.

This is an amazing set of books!! Wonderful for the note taker! A couple of small issues are that the books came mixed up in the box, and needed to be sorted into order. Some of the New Testament books are combined since they are too short to be a volume on their own (which is fine), however some of the books that are in one volume aren’t next to each other in the Bible. If they’re going to combine books, I would think they should put books together that are next to each other. Finally, the note taking pages aren’t lined. I understand this leaves the option open for more creativity, I would have just preferred lined pages.

I received these today as a gift. They are both beautiful and the perfect size. To be able to just pick up one book at a time and have enough space to add special notes. I know they will make my life easier. No need for a separate notebook. 🫶

Si vous aimez prendre des notes dans votre méditation de la Bible. Voici ce qui se fait sans doute de mieux. ESV est un traduction vraiment facile à lire pour qui apprend l'anglais. Reçu dans d'excellentes conditions. Tout est nickel. Attention, toutefois, aux frais liés à la douane pour une importation en Belgique. Je referais cet achat qui reste une des meilleures choses que j'ai achetées cette année.

I’ve saved up to buy this for 6 months (I wanted to be sure it wasn’t an impulse buy) and I’m so glad I ignored the negative reviews it arrived in very good condition and I have not noticed any of the flaws others have mentioned and also it looks very aesthetically pleasing on my bookshelf

Love the set, I'm a little disappointed that I received them damaged for how much I spent on them.
