Q: is this a cast iron sink coated or strickly ceramic? I use cast iron cookware and I do not want to break or chip the sink.

You don't want to install a ceramic sink in your kitchen. Ceramic cracks very easily. I received mine in pieces! And that was just from Fedex. The moment you drop a saucepan or cast iron pot in your sink, it will crack in half. Now imagine removing and replacing that sink from under your countertop. Ceramic is okay for bathroom sinks, where you don't use anything heavy. Not okay for kitchen sinks. Go with either cast iron or fireclay sinks.
