Crochet Granny Squares

This book was exactly what I was wanting with great large visuals and written instructions to aid me with my crochet Granny Squares .. glad to have it for reference and my library.. a true must have..

WOW a 2nd book of granny squares to make. It is fantastic. I’ve made several of them already and are beautiful. Will make a beautiful afghan.

I gave this book a 5 star rating even though it wasn't what I expected. It is a great reference for beginners. It teaches the beginning stitches that every other stitch is based off of. Then it teaches 7 more complicated stitches. There are 8 "real" granny square patterns in increasing difficulty. I haven't crocheted for about 7 years so a refresh for me is exactly what I need. I highly recommend this book if you are a beginner or just getting back into crochet

Overall pleased with this book. Has 20 different square's (hexagons as well), 24 pages of how to information good for beginners and the entire book is in color. I feel the instructions make sense. A good book for my collection. While there’s tons of free videos and ad bombarded blogs, sometimes it is nice to have a book in your hands. Con’s: Not all of the squares include instructions on making it an actual square you could use for a blanket or something similar. For example the honeycomb stitch square. While you can use these for dishcloths and such you would need to be more experienced to make it an actual square. Also. they should have blocked the squares before taking photos- it would be more attractive/appealing.

I hesitated on a 2-3 star. It's a good book for beginners but I was frustrated that one of the first patterns I did was wrong. The traditional granny square says repeat 2x when it should be 3x. It says it in the whole pattern. Ended up having to call my mother with 40+years of experience to tell me I wasn't crazy about it being wrong! Also the book came with a horrible smell and I had to let it air out outside to smell better. I thought it was a one off but did see where others had the same issue.

Cute book. Good for people with basic skills wanting to expand. Some of the written instructions I did have to google. But once I figured out things I didn’t understand written rise, have made a few blankets with different squares. Great purchase for beginners.

Excelente para quem esta começando no crochê.

The steps are easy to understand and follow as a beginner. I like that the book breaks down all of the common stitches and how to do them before diving into the granny square patterns. The only thing I wished was that there was more granny square patterns, hopefully they can make another one with just granny squares.
