Birkenstock Unisex Arizona Leather Sandal

First of all Birkenstocks no longer sells through amazon. With that said I have been wearing birkenstocks for 25 years. I fell in love with them in high school and never stopped loving them. Then they started doing the soft bed and my love grew so much stronger. Like walking on a pillow.Which is why I was stumped when I received these. Yes, they look like birkenstocks. But they just don't fit like them. I paid $30 extra for those soft beds. Except these were not soft. They were also more dry than other birkenstocks. It prevented them from properly molding to my foot. I have 4 other pairs that do not have the soft bed but after a week of wear are a perfect fit. Not so with these. In fact, my back started reacting to the stress of standing on them after 30 minute intervals. I bought them to help my foot health and they just made it bad.I kept telling myself it was in my head. I went shopping last weekend at a comfort shoe store. Just for kicks I tried on some soft bed birkenstocks. It was like walking on clouds. I was reminded why I love birkenstocks. The shoe that was sold to me on amazon is not a birkenstock. It is not a soft bed. I feel that I have been scammed with this product and I hope that Amazon stops selling products that have no integrity.

With so many retailers, I do wonder if you're getting genuine products and not a knock-off. When these arrived, I noticed that whatever seal was over the cork wasn't fully and evenly applied across the entire sandal. I've bought Birkenstocks before so I was a little concerned.After wearing these for about a month, I already noticed bits and pieces had fallen off. A couple of weeks later, there was a broken line across the cork and it was only got worst at a faster rate. In short, after wearing it on and off for less than 2 months, it looked worst than my 4 year old Birkenstocks that I replaced with these. Furthermore, the layer on the footbed itself start peeling back on itself.I tried reaching out to Birkenstock and they will have nothing to do with this purchase since it was made on Amazon. I'd like to believe this is a bad pair and not representative of the company's product nowadays, but it is quite disappointing to have spent the money on this.

Birkenstocks never disappoint! I wear a ladies’ size 7 and I now have three pairs of sandals in 38, they fit me perfectly. (I have narrow feet, so I did purchase the 38 narrow size.) These copper colored Arizonas are gorgeous and were definitely worth the splurge. My only advice is that if you get them make sure you know how you want them to fit… snug or on the looser side. They will stretch and the buckles will leave a mark on the leather. I wish I had kept the straps tighter and had let them stretch. At first I thought I had them too tight so I wore them looser. They got too loose for my liking and when made them tighter, I noticed the buckles had already marked the leather and now I can’t do anything about it.

This shoe was and still is superbly comfortable. I couldn’t believe the cushioned support from a cork footbed “flip flop” style sandal. The shoes go with everything and the color is the main attraction. However, after only wearing them August, September and part of October, the shoe is beat-up! They look as though I have had them for years and wore them through rugged terrain. They were only worn on grass, pavement or indoors. The leather is scratched, ripping or actually looks more like peeling and the buckle is scratched and tarnish. I will no longer wear them other than around the house or to do messy outside work. They are actually embarrassing when on my feet and look old, beat down and dirty. For the brand and price tag, I expected to get a lot of use out of these. Hoping Amazon will stand behind the product they sell; as it was Prime, and either replace or reimburse.

Look nothing like the picture. They are sinthetic not real leather. Fake. Fake. Fake. Not real Birkenstocks.

Let me start by saying that I LOVE birkenstocks and own several pairs in a few different styles. I was truly excited for these to extend my season. I put them on and I was in heaven!! I sure did have a surprise on my feet later that night when they were stained/dyed black. I scrubbed with a pumice block and still couldn't get it all off.(Pic is after scrubbing) A 3 year old told me my feet were dirty and I needed a bath, I was embarrassed in my pedicure, and my husband asked what "those feet" were doing on on our duvet!! 😳The shoes were so comfy I decided to keep them anyway against my better judgment. I figured it was because they were new and it would be done. Nope. I was wrong. Dye ruined my pedicure too when the fur touched light nail polish. I also have bald spots where there is now no fur. What is underneath the fur is very unpleasant to the foot. It's like a sticky pleather, my foot catches on it, and it makes an annoying noise. They of course showed their true colors 3 days AFTER the return policy. I'm not pleased with $140 shoes that last 33 days/4 wears. Not cool Birk. Save your money.

Fits like a dream, i'm in love. This is my second pair of Birkenstocks. Im used to open toe style sandals, but these are way more comfortable! I thought i would have to break them in, but the were so comfortable right out of the gate due to the suede top and the soft foot bed, trust me its AMAZING! I got the 37 N EU / 6-6.5 2A(N) and its a perfect snug fit. I usually ware a 7 in most sandals and shoes, but i do have very narrow feet. If you have narrow feet, you must get narrow Birkenstocks, otherwise they are to sloppy and it will be to hard to walk in them.Side Note: if you are new to Birks or not used to walking in open toe sandals it will be an adjustment for you. as this style has a loose feel. Make sure you heal, toes, and the sides of your feet are close to the shoe edges. and you should be able to fit a finger between the top of your foot and the top straps.The best advise i can give is get SOFT FOOD BED Birks, if you want no break in time get Birkes with a suede top as well. Its the perfect combo.

Would steer clear of these. I ordered a pair for a summer vacation, I was suspicious when they arrived in a plain unbranded cardboard box, no accompanying information or documents - at first glance look like genuine Birkenstocks, but looked a little closer, seen the smeared glue, moulding defects and rigidity of the footbed, it became obvious these are likely counterfeit, all-be-it fairly convincing counterfeits.I would advise anybody looking for a pair to spend the extra £ and buy from a reputable high street supplier or direct from Birkenstock. Returned.

My last pair of Birkenstock Arizona sandals were the best slip-in/slip-out open-backs ever, and lasted five years. So when I decided to replace them I was delighted to discover the same design still available online. In my case they are only worn around the house and never go outside, but they would be perfectly good as outdoor summer shoes as well.The Arizonas have cork inner soles which feel very rigid when new, but don’t be deterred: the cork slowly ‘gives’ as it moulds to your foot. Adjust the strap-buckles to fit your feet, and within a couple of weeks they feel delightfully comfortable. Because of the moulded-cork inners they always stay on your feet even when walking or running, despite being open-backed. The sandals are available in a range of colours from classic black and various brown shades, to a funky blue.Eventually after a few years of wear, the cork slowly separates from the rubber sole and that’s when you’ll need a new pair. However considering the quality of the product, they are outstanding value.If you’ve never worn Birkenstock sandals before and are uncertain of your size, best go to a high-street/shopping mall retailer and try them until you find your size. After that initial purchase, you can buy subsequent/replacement pairs cheaper online.

The outline of the sole fits the outline of my foot nearly perfectly but the topography and rigidity of the sole feels like it will harm my feet.I don't have arch support when I walk barefoot. Haven't our feet have evolved so that our arches receive no direct contact pressure? When my running shoes wear to the point that I feel the sole contact my arches I bin them but evidently Birkenstock consider this a benefit?I've worn the Arizona EVA daily since buying them about a year ago and find them to be the most comfortable footwear I have ever had but they are much softer. I have now tried the cork/latex/leather version in both a 265 (as recommended by Birkenstock) and a 270. My longest foot is ~267mm and widest is ~257mm (circumference).I didn't even fasten the straps on them such was the discomfort of the sole. Returned. Amazon service exemplary - such that I feel guilty returning them. EDIT: Be aware that if you return an item via the Amazon Locker service, you have no proof of the return! A month after returning these, they still show as "in transit" and Amazon has sent me a reminder email to return them. Unacceptable.

I was so happy with my first vegan Birkenstocks. They are very comfortable and beautiful. i wore them daily for 4 months. i paid a lot of money for them. normally this sandal last a decade..now after 4 months the vegan 'leather' is still perfect. the soles are worn almost at the heel though and the cork is falling apart at the heel. also the inside of the footbed, this fabric that is resembling leather is breaking and cracking. i am sure when i look at the state they are in now, they will not last 6 months in total. very disappointed!

These look like they are really well made and good quality. They were so uncomfortable though. The ridges on the bottom did not fit my feet at all, and when I tried walking in them the air between the ridges and my feet made very loud farting noises! It was a relief to take them off. So they looked lovely, but not for me. The returns process was quick and easy though so I have no complaints there.

Arrived 2 days before expected date. Fast delivery. Product fits as expected. Im a size 5 and just perfectly fit my feet. I have plantar fascitis and these are good sandals especially the soles. It does needs wearing in to soften. Looks stylish at the same time....casual. Thumbs up!

I was a bit nervous about paying the price for these shoes as they are priced at the upper end of what I wanted. Indeed, when I got them I was also initially slightly worried as they didn't seem to fit properly. But after a couple of days I would never go back to the cheap and cheerful alternatives. These are excellent! The material they are made of is very high quality. The two adjustable straps mean they fit very snuggly (my initial problem was the straps weren't adjusted correctly). I have also (foolishly) worn them into the sea, but they have remained undamaged and are still almost like new. I would therefore highly recommend this product.

I bought this for my mother. I gave her a pair a couple of years ago and she didn’t want to tell me that she wanted a second pair. Instead, she bought sandals that looked like those but they were not right for her. She was so happy when I bought her this second pair! She tells me that they fit very well and her feet are comfortable all day long.

I have worn Birkenstocks for years. Usually I buy lightweight models with ankle straps that keep them on my feet while walking, such as non-leather Rios, but I did own one pair of leather slip-on Arizonas (bought in Glasgow back in the very early 90s.) When that pair finally wore out this spring, after mostly indoor use, I decided to try the new 'soft footbed' model.Wow! What a difference. These are the non-leather version which I'm already used to, but the big difference is this wonderful soft footbed. What a difference. It's not too squishy to give the usual Birkenstock support, but that 'hard' feeling that some people dislike in Birkenstocks is completely gone. This is the innovation Birkenstocks have been needing. These are well-crafted, fit perfectly, built to a high standard. I am totally pleased, enough to have ordered a second pair as a gift.I can hardly wait for this soft footbed to be introduced across the Birkenstock range.

I wear these sandals every day of the year. My last pair lasted 3 years. Glad to see there have been no changes to this product in that time as there is nothing left to perfect. Despite having no backs... this sandal stays well placed even if you need to run. After about 2 years the bottom rubber starts to separate from the cork...but it takes another year of battering before a new pair finally has to be purchased. The sandal will feel a bit 'hard' when you first use them...as they cork molds to your foot...so give it about 2 weeks to wear in. The longer you wear them...the more comfortable they become.

I have been wearing Birkenstock sandals since 1964 so I'm obviously dedicated to the brand. However, this is the first time that I haven't bought them in Germany from a specialist stockist. I wanted Arizona size 41 but the sizes by Amazon were given in UK format. I used the official Birkenstock website to establish that 7.5 = 41 so I ordered them and they are exactly the same fit as the pair I needed to replace. I think it would be a good idea for both versions of the size to be given in the product description. This type of sandal is very good for the health of your feet but not everyone finds them comfortable or attractive.

I ordered a size 7 after reading reviews of it being too large and I can confirm it was a good decision as I am usually size 8.5-9.The initial feel is that they are too hard and not very comfortable, but they mould quite nicely onto the shape of your foot in about a week or two. I used them for two weeks while on Holiday and walked great distances and even climbed a mountain which was over 2200 meters above sea level.I now wear them around the house and can't wear normal slippers as these just feel so natural and comfortable. They also provide support for your the arch of your foot which is a great bonus.The only negative thing is that the right slipper, at times left me in a lot of pain while walking during the first few days as my feet and shoe were not accustomed to each other yet. When that happened, I just loosened the straps a little so it wouldn't fit so snug. Pain went away after a day or two and it felt great after.Definitely worth it and would definitely buy again.

I seen these in Office shoe shop for £75 and was nicely surprised to see them on here for £47.59 delivery included! Shoes look as expected, I am normally a 7/7.5 shoe size however after reading other reviews I ordered an 8 and the fit was perfect so consider ordering a size up. They are a little stiff but this will be the newness of the material and I expect this to soften as I wear them in. Thoroughly happy with my purchase! Love the copper colour, was a good buy altogether.

When I was ordering this, I got a message on screen saying that I had last ordered this item seven years ago. During that time I have worn the previous pair every summer and on winter holidays. They are looking well worn (mainly due to water damage) after 7 years but would last longer if I was prepared to put up with it. The water damage is due to the soles being cork and although the cork is coated they are not made for wearing in the rain during an English summer. I have also worn them when jet washing the patio so they have had a hard life. This is not to criticise them, they are very comfortable and 7 years of use (and abuse) from a pair of sandals is very good.
