Invasion of the Cow Snatchers

Game will last a long time, everything is sturdy plastic, the only cardboard parts(besides the cards) is the crop circles and someone has made them printable on printables.com so as soon as I have yellow I'm going to print them up. Might also just do dark green. I'm going to get sleeves for the cards and put them in a larger box, kids like to play with sticky fingers. Also, the solution to ever game is on the back so I'll put them back to back so the solution can't be seen without removing the card. Other than that this is a really fun game. The first cow is tricky to pick up, you need to press down on the UFO and wiggle it at the same time to pick it up sometimes. If the magnet was any stronger it would pick them up from the sides, I imagine when they were making the game it was a balancing act between height of the board and strength of magnet. Really good game for kids, they can play solo and after the easy levels the medium levels get challenging. My daughter is 6 and she loves it, working her way through, and she can play it by herself which is really nice. Can't recommend this game enough.

I had this game on my want list for about 2 years now. It was recently on sale, and I decided to buy it. So glad that I did. It's so much fun. I haven't had any issues with the magnets not being strong enough like some people have had, but I think the reason why, the game comes with 4 cardboard stickers that you're supposed to place on the edges of the top. I tried it and noticed the UFO doesn't pick up the pieces as well, so I removed the stickers. I'm not sure what the purpose of the stickers are, but they seemed unnecessary to me. My daughter and I have tournaments on who can solve the maze the fastest. It's been a great bonding experience for the two of us. I just wish I bought the game sooner.

This game is super fun with varying levels of play, which makes it fun for adults also!! The game is fairly easy to understand and play, however, the rules could be a bit more clear, especially for the genius level. The biggest reason we give this game only 4 stars is because the UFO doesn’t always magnetize the cows and requires reaching under the grid to force the attachment. Overall the game board is sturdy and well crafted but we fear damaging the grid attachment because it is made of thick plastic and fashioned in points, which if not careful could break off, making the grid and game useless.

When I got mine, the blue cow wouldn't lift off the board when the UFO passed overhead. I sent an e-mail to the company with my name and mailing address, and in less than a week I had a full set of replacement cows. The new one worked perfectly. The game is a lot of fun and is a very unique design, unlike anything else I think I've ever seen before.

Concept is great and my son loves puzzles so this was perfect, but the top clear plastic is molded wrong so that you can “cheat” to get the pieces over obstacles because it is bent upward. Instead of fun only caused frustration.

There are a lot of these puzzle games out there, but this is one of better in terms of inventiveness and build quality. The puzzles do a good job of ramping up the difficulty slowly so young children can level up their skills, at least until the big jump in difficulty with the most advanced genius level. The concept of alien cow snatching is cute and adds some flavor. My 7-year-old really enjoyed it.

Happily surprised with the feeling of accomplishment this game delivers our 8 year old son, his friends & family. Each round is a new puzzle with a card that specifies how to set up the board. Then you use a magnet to collect the cows, avoid the new obstacles in place, etc, etc... you might think it’s easy looking at the board but then you’ll soon find yourself really having to think how to solve the round- it’s really fun for all ages to play! Its one of those games where if somebody says they’re not interested in playing, they’ll be the first one to jump in to vocalize how they could probably figure things out & end up happily playing along. These types of games are really great to keep older minds active & brains exercised. It has various levels & degrees of difficulty. Its well made & very durable The sheerness or transparency of the board itself is easy to see through to manage the magnets & it would make a great gift! It’s just a cool little puzzle game.

One star only because this game does not work for red/green colorblind children (see explanation below). It is unplayable as designed. Cons: UFO’s magnet is not strong enough to pick up the first cow. You have to manually get the first cow to stick. After that, it is strong enough to pick up the other cows. NOT FOR RED/GREEN COLORBLIND KIDS! If you look closely at the photos, the red and green fences are exactly the same value on the cards which means that some red/green colorblind kids won’t be able to distinguish the red from the green fence, which makes gameplay difficult for them since you have to follow a pictorial instruction card to set up the board (pictured). My son is colorblind, and I have to set up the board every time for him. You would think they could have used another color or value for one of them since red/green colorblindness is fairly common. Pros: fun, quirky game for kids who like a challenge.

Bought for a 7 year old and she loved it. Probably wouldn't go any younger though. The game concept is unique and entertaining.

This game would possibly be ok for a 2-5 yr old, and a 5 year old could get bored very quickly. A huge disappointment 😞

Unfortunately, after offering the game to our daughter for her birthday and opening it up, the magnet is not strong enough for the yellow and purple cows. Dear seller, please advise what you can do. The game can't be played. Thanks.
