Another great book by two great authors
What a great book! I have always struggled with the concept of leaving my home and where I grew up, even at 20 years old. I want to explore the world but don't want to leave the comforts of home. So this book really hit home for me and even made me tear up a little (okay a lot). Especially the lines "you leave the place you are from. You have to. But you also need to have it stay in you for a long time. It is your center." It just shows that no matter how far you go, home will always be in your heart.

Odd
Was an odd story. Not as relatable as some.

Hmm
I have always liked these two authors when they collaborate on stories like this one and Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist.

Hmm, love the series, but this one had issues
I love the installments of this series, but this one just didn't quite nail it like the others. Dash and Lily, Nick and Norah and now Sam and Ilsa. The magic is still there but there was something lacking for me. I did enjoy it but didn't get the giddy happiness in the other two stories. Yes, they are all interconnected but now the characters are older and perhaps this is why part of the charm is gone. Yes, if there is another one in this series, I would be happy to read it.

Trying to be food for thought
It wasn't BAD but it wasn't GOOD either. It was supposed to be a party but....turned more into a group of people judging each other. Everyone blamed Ilsa for being "controlling" and judgey of her brother's life. But really, he made his own choices, he even said so, but in his mind, never stepping up to defend his sister or explain himself.Ilsa was insecure and kind of pushed that onto others, but honestly she had a right to be hurt by Parker, her brothers bff. He got her PREGNANT and DUMPED her after they found out it was a false alarm! 🙀😾 That is just cruel. If you're not ready to potentially be a parent because, reality check, thats ALWAYS a risk during sex (unless it's a gay couple), then you shouldn't be having sex! 😝😤Then were was the weird ventriloquist guy, the snobby girl, the stranger and ex who were going at it from jealousy, the cruel bff and one supportive friend....made for an....interesting night. The whole book took place within 1 night, minus like the last 3 chapters.Btw, idk where Parker gets off telling her she's not supportive of her brother's "dreams" when he did, in fact, plant the idea to leave in his head. Sam did not think "hey, I want to move to California" without him suggesting it. It was kind of hurtful how many times he let that guy and himself just make Ilsa feel unwanted. He kept balking at the IDEA of her still being around him after graduation, which is harsh. MY sister cried when I went away to college. Now that I'm thinking about it all.....I'm demoting this to 2 stars because although the characters learned some life lessons from each other, like it's okay to wait for sex and that one shouldn't let fear stop them from exploring, those epiphanies weren't enough to make this better for me lolHonestly, they're a bad example for teens. They spent most of the night drinking and ranting at each other 🤷♀️All was good at the end and apparently half of them kept in touch 10 years later which was cool. The twins grew as they loved apart and are still close supposedly. But again, 18 chapters of drunk teens just throwing their insecuries in each others faces and making each other the villains wasn't my kind of read 🤷♀️

Siblings being siblings!
Young hearted book that my students enjoyed.

Started strong and fizzled
I was hoping for more, but was disappointed. Some stereotypical characters and some so unrealistic it was annoying (talking sock puppet??) I wanted to see the characters develop and change but overall flat and not worth it.
