Life saver
This pump is soooo good. I originally got a horrible pump in style max flow Medela thru my insurance. It didn't suction me at all. I don't get why since it's a much higher price than this one. Medela even sent me a second one, but that one didn't work either! I'm guessing that one just doesn't work well with larger cups.So for the first 6 months of my post pardum, I used a hospital grade pump. Afterwards, when I needed to switch over to a home pump, I decided to buy this one out of pocket since it has worked for me really well for my last pregnancy and my insurance wouldn't cover for me to get a different pump. This pump is just as good as I remember! It's actually even better since I am comparing it to that one that didn't work. This one is almost as good as the hospital grade. I highly recommend. This is my second pregnancy using it and both times I was very happy

Motif Luna love - even 5 years later!
I honestly love this pump. I got the wall plug in one for my May 2020 baby and ended up exclusively pumping for her first year of life around October 2020 and immediately purchased the batter option in November 2020. It is lightweight, sleek, and honestly just looks pretty 😂 I had an over supply and got amazing results with this pump while EPing, and much to my absolute shock, I was able to pull both out of storage for my January 2025 baby and both still work amazingly. I will say, I am not someone who responds well to high suction, and always kept the Luna on the lower settings (no higher than a 3, but usually only a 2). I always recommend the Motif Luna to folks.

Not a good breast pump
There is 0 suction. I normally get 2.5 ounce per pump session - I only get about 1/2 an ounce per session with this one. Extremely disappointed.

Does the job well
Update: I actually love this pump now and it's the only one I use anymore. It took me a little bit to find my perfect settings. Here's what I found - it does empty me well and the suction is stronger than the spectra - it just took me a little bit to find my perfect settings. So I've been an exclusively pumping mom for both of my boys for medical reasons so I know how hard it is to decide on the right pump. With my first son, I had the medela freestyle pump. I loved its portability but that's it. It hurt so much to pump and I loathed every second of it. I realize now, I had too big of shields so I sized down this time to have a portable option and it's still super painful. This time around I went with a spectra s2. I LOVE my spectra. It isn't painful at all and almost comfortable. The only thing is that it is large and there's no battery. I decided to splurge for this pump to have a portable one as well. The motif luna I received was a lemon. I called customer service and they got me a new one and it arrived within two days. They were amazing to deal with! Anyway, the pump is rather large to what I was thinking it would be for a portable. But I just put it into a smaller purse to carry it around. The pump is nice. I've seen people say they get more milk in less time. I don't think that's true in my case. My spectra is amazing at getting milk out. But this pump is comfortable, especially if you have more sensitive breasts. The suction on the highest setting isn't quite as powerful as my spectra but it does the job well. I also love that I can use my spectra parts!

Little powerhouse, quicker pumps
I was anxious that my boobs wouldn't respond well to this pump after loving the symphony for my past 2 babies and five days in hospital after #3 (it has much faster cycle rates). However, I'm 10 days postpartum with baby #3, exclusively pumping for the second time, and this pump empties me faster than symphony and I'm over producing. This is my stationary primary pump, I also use ameda mya as a cordless mobile option. I much prefer the luna for efficiency and power. I love all the suction speeds and strengths it offers. I do wish the stimulation mode offered greater suction and speed but it's fine. I got an adapter so I can use medela parts and it works like a dream. So glad I chose this pump over the very pricey sonata or symphony. It gets the job done and does it very well. The only thing I'd ask for is a rechargeable battery for this pump and faster stimulation cycle rates as an option (70-120cpm would be very nice). I've never used spectra so I can't compare the two but I've heard this one offers greater stimulation but is still gentle.

Looks like a spectra, feels like a medela and uncomfortable
I love the design of this pump as well as the fact that it is rechargeable so you dont have to have it plugged in the whole time. BUT i find this pump super uncomfortable. My flanges fit good but the outter part of the flange or the "rim" feels like its pinching, the whole assembly from the collection cups to the pump is heavy so it can be difficult to get everything in the right spot and not falling off your breasts. The suction is great if you dont need a nice vibration to help with letdown. The sucfion is just straight pulling of the nipple. I find it to be the most uncomfortable pump I've owned seeing as my nipples dont adjust to the initial discomfort from starting a pump session. My letdowns sting using this pump vs tingle like they do with my Ameda Mya Joy or Spectra S1. Really wanted to love it because it looks so nice and i always saw good reviews. Its a shame.

The reviews didn’t lie.
I actually saw this pump for the first time on a celebrity’s Instagram story. It was not an #ad just a quick mention of the pumps she used on set. She said she loved the strong suction of the Luna. I was curious and came here to read reviews. Clearly, she wasn’t the only one. This pump is legit. It’s quiet, easy to use, and very very strong. The more milk in less time thing is not just buzzwords, it’s a threat. Are you ready to get more of your life back? Are you ready to have milk flood that collection bottle? Well buckle up buttercup because it’s coming your way.I made the switch to this pump from Medela Pump In Style and I wish I’d done it much much sooner. Pumping doesn’t have to be such a struggle. I wasted a lot of time and energy fighting with a mediocre device when the real deal is right here and affordable. If you’re considering it at all—do it.
