Bright light and modern design
These are my favorite nightlights. They are much brighter than quite a few others, which is good for me and my family that really don't like the dark!I love the modern design compared to the old fashioned nightlights. My kids are HARD on these and they're still going strong several years in!1 of the 4 or 5 that I have is slightly dimmer than the others and won't always turn on at night anymore. The emergency and flashlight features are awesome.Worth every penny. You might be able to get these at Walmart for a bit cheaper ($9?) If they have them. I've seen them occasionally but never purchased them there.I'm buying another one to go in my baby's huge closet that he walked into instead of into the hallway. It was pitch black and he was scared and so confused, poor baby! Can't wait to light it up for him.

EXPENSIVE BUT WORTH IT
Very nice design. It lays flat against the wall and emits enough light to be able to see at night. It is sensitive to shadows so don't place anything in front of it or it will be on all the time. It is more expensive than other night lights but worth the expense because it blends in well. It has a gentle spread of light not a directional beam.

Good device. They discontinued this. Too bad.
I wish they woukd make this again.Really attractive, unlike most others.A great solution to the night-light/power outage issue. This does a good job.Where I located it (beside a stair) the up-light apparently intended was not ideal, so I turned it to direct the light downward, and it works great.Pleased.

Serves it purpose but could do it better
This will in fact work as an emergency light when the power goes out. However, there isn't much difference in the brightness between nightlight mode and emergency light mode. Therefore, the nightlight is much brighter than you would expect and the emergency light is marginal. Also the photo sensor does not turn the night light off during the day as stated. Even if I shine a bright light directly on the sensor the light stays on all the time. Not much of a of power drain though because it only uses 0.3 watts per hour.

PUT 2 IN THE KITHCHEN AND ONE IN FRONT ROOM AND I AM VERY HAPPY WITH THE LIGHT OUTPUT AND THAT THEY TURN ON AND OFF BY THEMSELVES. THEY LOOK MUCH NICER THAN ANYTHING ELSE I LOOKED AT, ALSO I LIKE THE FACT THAT THEY CAN BE USED WHEN POWER GOES OUT. THEY SIT CLOSE TO THE WALL AND DON'T OBSCURE THE SECOND PLUG IN.

The nicest looking I have seen
Works as advertised and is very attractive. The front has a nice design and the vertical beam of light shining up the wall looks cool.It is a bit brighter than the average night light so do not use it in a bedroom, everywhere else it is great. The single LED bulb uses a tiny amount of electricity and it does not block the lower outlet.

Good for small bath and bedrooms, might not be suitable for larger rooms
Not as bright as the power failure light this replaced, but still good enough for the small room where we are using it. I'd recommend something a bit brighter for larger rooms though, unless you'd be fine purchasing multiples of this light to cover the entire room. The nightlight feature is a nice bonus, since our old power failure light did not have this function.

Great product we had the power go out within a week of ordering and although it is not super bright the fact that it stayed on and we had some light without having to fumble around was fantastic, great buy for a kitchen.
