I've had an iPhone 6 from new when it was the latest model. The battery had been in the optimised mode for a few years but as I was only using it as a spare Internet device it was fine.As I wanted to replace the speaker it seemed like a good idea to change the battery too. There are so many listed for sale but I chose this one as it came with all the tools etc and seemed mostly well reviewed.This comes with all the tools you need and it is a relatively easy install. The phone has the smallest screws inside it that I have ever seen so you need to be careful you don't loose them. The magnetic screw drivers helped a lot. I had trouble removing the adhesive as one of the strips snapped but I had discharged the old battery down to next to nothing so with a little perseverance I managed to remove the old battery ok.After installing the new battery it was at 70% and took over 4 hours of video playback and a couple hours of other use to drain it to the point it wold turn off by itself. All day its lost 2% charge as I've just left it alone to see the standby performance.So far it seems like a good straight swap and now I have some spare tools for my next device repair.

Although a DIYer I was very wary about tackling my first ever phone battery replacement. Additionally I am old with failing eyesight. It took me about 2 hours but that was mainly caused by the difficulty replacing 5 minuscule screws. The instructions are first class and a YouTube video made the process straightforward. The battery came out easily because I was able to pull on the tabs of sticky tape as instructed. Others have warned how important it is to work on a white surface and lay the screws out in the position that they have to go back. My phone holds the charge even longer than when it was new. It has given me a great feeling of satisfaction and I suspect negative reviews may have resulted from some error in installation. I have written this only two days after installation but I feel my good experience will last. Update. It is some 10 weeks since I replaced the battery and the performance has been faultless. Thoroughly recommended.

I’m an engineer by trade so generally fix stuff, but don’t often fix phones. I would recommend this particular brand as it was the cheapest I could find with decent reviews. I didn’t need the tools as already replaced a battery in the past but if you don’t have them then you will use them. It came with replacement glue strips. The most difficult part for me was getting the old battery out. It was far more difficult than I thought it would be. I used a popular fix it guide in combination with the instructions provided. I’d recommend getting a blank sheet of paper and drawing the phone screw positions on it then sellotaping the removed screws to it. The screws are different sizes so if you get one wrong you could damage the phone. This battery went in my wife’s phone. It’s been around 2 months now and the increased battery life is very noticeable. Not an easy task but will save you some money and bring a new lease of life to your phone. This was purchased by me and have no contact with the seller / supplier. The review is to hopefully help you make an informed choice. The bottle of mayo makes a good rest while you disassemble!

Definitely glad I bought one with a full set of tools.It took a long time to remove the old adhesive strip and remove the old battery - needs a steady hand and a lot of patience.Excellent eyesight needed to handle tiny screws. Not for the faint hearted or for those not used to handling small components. Very pleased with the outcome though.

Followed instructions for charging after fitting and charge now lasts for maybe a day and a half rather than having to charge twice a day with old battery which in itself is an improvement. So I’m happy. Fitting was a problem. Sticky tape was troublesome but persevere and be careful. I cracked my screen, not fitting but opening the case.

This battery was reasonably easy to replace, just remember to lay out the screws in the correct order as they are very, very small and different sizes. The original battery is stuck down rather well, managed to roll one tape out but the other snapped, so trying to prize that out took some time as the battery is of a very soft composit. Very good instructions and time will tell for the performance of the new battery.

Tools supplied - substandard. Battery connections dubious .... wouldn’t buy again!My advice - 1. Buy a proper set of tools if you intend to take battery replacement on 2. Buy a decent branded battery.

The battery is easy to fit and work well however the battery is now losing charge rapidly again with less than 6 months use.
