3in1 Men's Winter Coat Jacket Warm Parka w/Insulated Snow Vest

This coat is not for the meek who get cold when it's 40 degrees out. This coat is meant for the folks who have to spend all day outside in 20 degree (or below) weather. I have a German Shepherd who adores being out in the cold weather and couldn't care less whether I'm freezing my butt off as we go for our 7th 20-minute walk of the day and this coat is perfect for the brutally cold weather.As soon as the temps warm up to 32 I have to put this coat away because it's just too hot even after removing the vest.28 degrees? I can wear this jacket unzipped with just a short-sleeve shirt and I'm perfectly toasty.Pouring, windswept rain? Not a problem for this coat. Everything it covered stayed perfectly dry.The heavy duty zippers are greatly appreciated along with the dozens of pockets for me to forget which one I put my keys in lolI absolutely love this coat and can't imagine buying any other brand. With the huge range of sizes I doubt I'll ever have to look elsewhere.

I finally decided to get a new heavy parka after using the same one for twenty years. After reading reviews on this and other items, I decided to purchase the Freeze Defense 3 in 1 Parka. It arrived just a couple of weeks before Christmas and it just so happens that this Christmas weekend has been one of the coldest here in a long time. I live in South Georgia so we don't usually have a long or severe winter. I go to work early in the mornings and that is usually the only time of day that gets near freezing, but I like to have a coat that makes it comfortable. This year the temperatures overnight have been in the twenties with a wind chill tonight of 15 degrees. I just walked around outside wearing the parka without the zip in vest and felt none of the cold! This coat is amazing! My legs and nose were cold but the parts covered by the coat were vacationing in the tropics on a summer day! I don't believe I could use the zip-in vest with the coat unless I was actually visiting Santa at the North Pole! And the amount of pockets is wonderful! I love having lots of pockets and this coat doesn't disappoint! Now, you may be like me and not know whether to believe everyone who said the coat is sized a bit big and to order a size smaller than normal. It's the truth! I am 6 feet tall and weigh 290 pounds, so I'm a bit of a full-figured guy and always get a 3xl. I decided to roll the dice and get a 2xl. I'm so glad I did, it fits great with plenty of room! Trust me, go a size smaller than you normally would. I hope Santa's outfit is this warm. If not, then I would suggest he get one of these for flying across the winter skies in an open sleigh! Where were these coats when I was a paramedic and would have to spend hours on an accident scene in the middle of a freezing night? Anyway, I highly recommend this coat to anyone who wants to stay warm or who wants to join Batman in fighting Mr. Freeze!

I've worn this now twice; once when I first got it to make sure it fit, and then again today in 10 degree weather (with wind chill even colder). My thoughts, in order were as follows:1. Ugh! I'm going to return this thing. It's so big and bulky! I feel like the kid in the Christmas story! I can't even drive with this on!2. Wow! I'm outside in what would normally be a ridiculously cold day with bitterly cold wind, and I'm very warm! To be clear - I'm not wearing a hat, scarf, gloves, or ear muffs - just this massive jacket! And yet I'm really warm when I would normally be freezing.3. OMG - I think I'm actually sweating! I legit need to put my hood down so I can welcome in the frigid arctic air because I'm getting hot!4. Yes - my shirt is damp at the top due to sweat! I never would have believed that possible on a day this cold (it's not like I was working hard - I was just walking at a leisurely pace)!It would be a perfect 5 stars if it was less bulky and it allowed me to move around easier + drive, but I can drive without the coat and put it on when I reach my destination. I'm sold!

I wore this coat with just a shirt and undershirt on a 17 degree (-8C) 20 minute ride to work on my motorcycle at speeds up to 50 MPH and was still comfortable.My only problem is that when I need to put on the coat/vest combo outside in the wind, the vest will billow away from the coat and make aligning the armholes a problem. Of course, the fact that I am 75 and not as agile as before is part of the problem.If the manufacture just put a velcro patch on the two parts to prevent the misalignment when exposed to wind while donning the coat/vest combo, it would help. If they thought that would restrict movement too much, they could use a flag of velcro on each half.

Great jacket. Like the zip out reversible vest. Seems sized a bit large. I wear XL and it fit like a 2X. Had to swap for a L and it fits perfect.

The coat is certainly warm enough however it is much heavier than I thought and it’s much more bulky than I thought. The hood is much, much too big. This even after switching the large coat for a medium.
