Very good tool...
I specialize in Chevy LS motors. The aftermarket crank snouts tend to be on the larger side of the accepted tolerance and this causes the balancer to be very tight. Sears has a great $150 puller, but it only works on the truck balancers. The LS2/LS3 short balancers don't leave a lot of room. With a standard three leg puller you have to remove a leg and assemble it on the balancer. After braking three of these on the last one. I ordered this puller. Goes right on, has a 3/8" square drive making it very easy to use. The rod did bend, but it still removed this balancer with ease and I'm sure it will work several more times before it has to be replaced. The only thing wrong with this setup is that it doesn't come with a case. Not sure all the applications it works on, but if it works for your needs it is a great puller.

Inexpensive high quality
Wish it had a case but this is basically the same tool that you can buy on the Snap On truck with the blue point name for less than half the price. Matco sells this under their name as well for about double. Amazon for tools!! If you pay with a debit card you never have a truck payment no repo'd tools!! At the end of the day this is the same tool you can buy on the truck and it works great use it on 3800, 3100, 3.6 GM engines all the time saves me so much time.

Second time buying
This is the second otc pulley removal tool I've bought. The first one removed stock harmonic balancer pulleys like butter. Never had an issue with the first one. This one (the second I bought) all the pushrods bent and make it very difficult to remove the pulley as intended. The pushrods are so bent it's a gamble using them to remove the pulley a second time. Not sure what changed from the first one to this one, but quality is obviously compromised.

Amazing
Worked great to remove the harmonic balancer from a 2.7 ecoboost V6. Would’ve never removed the pulley if it wasn’t for this tool. You do have to make sure all three jaws are on before giving it the beans. It’s easy for one to slip off during initial set up. There was no way that balancer was gonna come off with any other puller. Highly recommend this over the lisle puller. It’s cheaper than the tool trucks and wouldn’t be surprised if they slapped their name on it and sold it as theirs. Don’t see how people are bending the rods. You are doing something wrong if you do. Remember to use anti seize on the treads.

3.5 Ecoboost
This kit pulled the crankshaft pulley out of my 3.5 Ecoboost F150 as smooth as butter. Lining the jaws up is quick and easy once you figure out the technique and everything just slides apart easily.

well built puller
Doesn't work on the truck and pulley I bought it for but is very well made. I'm going to keep it because with my luck I'll get rid of it and some other vehicle pulley will pop up that I'll need it for. If you're trying to remove a 04-05 F150 5.4 triton harmonic damper you will need the 3 bolt style puller no matter what the forums say. My friends 08 didn't have the bolts holes for his so that one took a traditional 3 jaw puller.

OTC Tools
A very needed tool..OTC is high quality made tool company..Some of them say made in USA but most made in China..I have used this tool many times .if you take your time and use it correctly keep it greased up and oiled ..it should last you a life time of uses...some of the Chrysler harmonic balancers have a large three holes where the jaws spread out and slip off the pulley....I just took and made 3 pieces of wood that filled up the space between the jaws and the pulley holes and it came off like butter..Great tool for the price
