Handles a Montana spring freeze no problem.
Can recommend this greenhouse heater. Last night (April 4th, 2025) the outside temp got down to 17.1° F, it was below freezing from about 9:20 pm until 9 am today (it was under 25° for 7 hours) and this heater kept it at a stable 38-39° the entire time.It obviously has enough capacity to do the job, our Canopia by Palram Bella model greenhouse is 8 x 12 ft with 6mm twin-wall polycarbonate and has about 508 cubic feet of volume. The heater ran for a total of 4.9 hours (7.1 kWh of electricity) during that 12 hour period, meaning it could have handled more.I don't know what the heat rise capacity is. Could it keep it at 38° when it is 0°? I don't think that is going to be tested, we're not planning on keeping plants in there during a Montana January and February (although I might run an experiment on a particularly cold night next winter). Will it last more than a year or two? I'll let you know.

This heater dose the job
This little heater keeps my 9 x 9 green house warm and I only have it turned up 1/2 way . It has a temperature pro that helps control the heat.

Great heater
This heater is amazing so far. The weather has been anywhere 20-30 degrees and I had three 1500 W heaters going to struggle to keep it at 60° for my citrus trees. I replaced one of the heaters with this heater right before I went out of town big mistake that little heater added so much heat, but I came back to crinkly leaves and blooms I’ll give you a further review later on

Well Made and Durable
This heater is worth the price. It provides better circulation than most because the fan is larger than the competition. It’s sturdy, built well and heavy so it won't tip over easily. It takes a little longer to reach max temp because the element is encased in metal for durability. Not too noisy. The temperature sensor is on the outside of the case so it’s more sensitive to the room temperature. It’s a better choice for outside like patio or greenhouse.

Could have been a great product
This heater has an all metal case, heavy heating element and quality fan. That is hard to find in 120V heaters. Unfortunately there are significant bad reviews with photos of wires melting, thermostat burning, etc. Anything that burns up out of the box has to get 1 star and probably explains why it got discontinued. So when I received my heater I immediately took it completely apart and rewired it for use with an external line voltage thermostat (Peco TF115-001).1500 Watts is 12.5 Amps and that is really a lot of power in a heater because any defect will overheat and melt. The contacts in the thermostat are apparently rated for the load but are poor quality and apparently can't take repeated cycling of that much power. There is a thermal fuse built in which is good and probably explains why some units stopped making heat but continued to blow air. It saved the unit from a full melt down but is considered trashed. Replacement thermal fuses are not easily installed.I rewired using 14 AWG marine grade wire, crimped and soldered connections and a heavy cord and plug. I reconnected the thermal fuse but took out the thermostat and switch. That removes the problem areas completely. Again, this setup is for use with a good external thermostat. The fan should run continuously while in operation.A few weeks later, I ordered another unit and rewired it differently. I used an HVAC contactor (Eaton C25BNB230A). This contactor is designed for repeatedly cycling a 30 amp load. The original built in thermostat and switch drive the contactor and fan and now has much less power going through them. As before, I upgraded the connections and wire. See my photo. Later, I wired in a GGXAC1F480 NOsparc Arc Suppressor to protect the contacts. Now this is a 5 star product. These modifications are not something you should attempt unless you have electrician skills. The good news is the price on open box returns keeps going down so I bought a couple more and rewired them too.

Good for the right size of greenhouse
Originally purchased in late 2018, it's been in use every year to keep my orchids warm. Lately I've had it in my 5x6 ft greenhouse and control it with a wifi plug. Keeps my greenhouse from dipping below 60F. Recently it has been tripping the GFCI circuit. Measured coil resistance and it's approximately 8 ohm. Should be greater than 9.5 ohm. I plan to replace the old one with the same model.Couple things I've noticed since I've been using it. Does great in a wet/high humidity environment. Electronics are clean with no corrosion. Condensation collects in the bottom and there's no drain hole. Some rust, but paint holds up well.

Barely put out any heat.
Did not put out much heat. I sent the first one back for a replacement and they charged me for the replacement. While waiting for the replacement I had to go to local farm store and get a heater. got on for $21.00 that worked twice as good this one. So, I sent the replacement back too. Now trying to get my money back for both heaters. Seller very slow at issuing a refund!!
