Makes flying with a toddler a breeze. Still need to bring a stroller but not having to carry a seat with you makes life better.Installing it is pretty easy - however, depending on the type of seat you have, you'll probably have to ask the person sitting behind your toddler to lower their tray to install it. It won't affect the use of the tray during the flight, but it has to be installed behind the tray in most cases. Has a nice pouch to store it in when in the airport.The best part about the harness is not having to lug our big convertible car seat onto the plane and deal with our daughter kicking the seat in front of her because she has no leg room.

This product is amazing!I know that not everyone has given favorable ratings to this product but it worked great for my family. I think the people who didn't like it were not using it properly. It was extremely easy to install - just wrap it around the plane seat and tighten, then adjust the harness to fit your child and buckle the seatbelt through the loops. The instructions are very clear and easy to follow. It's lightweight and packs easily in a backpack or purse and comes with a carrying bag. I highly recommend this product.

First, it doesn't actually say FAA approved anywhere on the Harness. Then after some checking I found this on FAA.gov "The CARES Child Safety Device is the only FAA-approved harness-type restraint for children weighing between 22 and 44 pounds. This type of device provides an alternative to using a hard-backed seat and is approved only for use on aircraft." Unfortunately the CARES harness is ~3x the cost. Maybe this will not be an issue for you, but I will return this harness for the FAA approved one. Safe Travels!

I'm sure this product would have worked fine, but the airline (Delta) would not let me use it since it does not say anything on it about being FAA approved. In fact, they just told me to hold my child during take off and landing and use the regular seatbelt during flight. On my connecting flight, I didn't even say anything to them, and I ended up keeping her in her seat and using the regular seat belt and no one said anything to me... Maybe they thought she was 2? She was 18 months at the time. So, I ended up returning it. It seemed super sturdy and made well, but I just didn't end up needing it.

I flew alone with my 20-month-old son this summer. I bought this because I thought it would keep him safe and also make him stay in his seat. Wrong! He hated it and wriggled right out. I wound up returning it. Also, the picture shows the FAA-approved patch on there, mine did not have that.
