Terraria - Xbox 360

My five-year-old son bought this game with his birthday money, and though he loves it, I am so sick of him and my seven-year-old son FIGHTING over this blasted game! "Mom, he killed me!" is not an unusual utterance by my five year old. Seriously though, both of them enjoy playing this game very much. If you are a better mom than me, I suppose you won't be letting them play game with weapons and stuff anyway. Either way, this game is super popular at my house. Even the older four kids (2 boys, 2 girls--all teens) and my six-year-old neighbor boy enjoy playing this game.We have had the Kindle app version of this game for some time, so when he saw the Terraria game for xbox 360, my five year old was instantly excited. Both younger boys also have Minecraft, which has some similarities to Terraria, and they enjoyed playing both for months. The Xbox version of Terraria, according to my seven-year-old, has "way cooler graphics" than the Kindle version.The game was tough at first, but it has proven to be an easy enough game but with a continued challenge. It seems to have more of a story line and a bit more "personality" than Minecraft. The boys did a lot of youtube viewing to get helpful hints, and the older kids helped them from time to time. It just seems like there is always something new and exciting for them to explore in the game.Really, for you worried parents out there, the blood and violence in this game is minimal. Obviously, if you are a no-tolerance kind of mom or dad, this is NOT the game for you. But it's pretty mild. And personally, I love that this game (like Minecraft) really taps into the imagination and creativity of the player. It is really fun to see what they can create and hear my five year old tell me stories or act out stories that go along with the things he creates.All in all, this is a favorite game in my family.

I played a demo game of this on my Xbox 360 I liked it at first but the game disc is alot different then the demo to me it's a little bit more complicated but then again I'm no gaming expert either just alot more obstacles to get threw than the demo can't really see this for a young kid to play not unless they're good at games I don't really put too much of my energy into gaming like most people do so it's a 4 star for me I could give it 5 stars cause it worked great In my Xbox came in excellent condition but the game itself didn't care to much for it but that's not really the seller's fault they didn't make the game they just sold it so I might up it to 5 stars just because it came in good condition, it was packed nicely, and shipping was quick even though the game wasn't my cup of tea it might be for someone who likes a challenging game and if that is what your after go for it but if your looking for something a bit more easier to play get you a couple Rayman games they're pretty awesome to play

This is a great game for kids over the age of 7. I thought it was a great game and kept me entertained for hours. If you like 2-d or pixelated games this is perfect. I don't suggest this for kids under the age of 7 because of some of the violence like killing and stabbing. Be aware that this game will not be split screen nor can you play with 2 people on the same console. No other purchases are required unless you want the figures or plush toys. Overall this is a great game for me and my best friends.

Returned . If you look this game up on common sense media , it’s filled with very inappropriate suggestive things . I am appalled . So glad I thought to look it up one more time before opening up. Not ok for my son , there’s enough thrown at young men, we don’t need video games like this for young boys .

Written for my son. Love the game and loves all the things you can do in it. He really doesn't like it is a world type that is 2D he wishes that it could be more exploitative. He really likes that you can build basically anything you want. And really likes how you can make NPC's move in and buy stuff like canons and stuff like that. Overall Great Game.

I have a lot of good things to say about this game, buuut a few bad things as well... I played this game for about a total of 30+ hours now and i'm still BARELY TAPPING into the funner, more fast paced parts of the game, which is annoying. you have to put in wayy too much time in to do anything more interesting than just the basics. The complexity of the game DOES make it more intense and unpredictable BUT at the same time it also makes you feel like your doing a chore rather than exploring and having fun...Also, with that being said i've only played by myself, i have yet to play online with others so maybe it's less of a grind when you're in a group but i'm the type of gamer that gets games for the Single Player Experience! (And besides, i have no friends anyways!)

Bought this game for my son's 10 year old birthday. It was the only thing he asked me for and was so excited to get it. After a short time, he told me he died too much and hasn't played since. He loves Minecraft, and I can only assume he expected it to be a lot like what he is used to when he plays Minecraft. My guess is eventually, he will go back to it, but I did want to let parent's know of my experience. If you can rent it first or borrow it from a library, you might want to do that for younger children.
