Bigger and Better
This is a great bag. Just got it today, I looked for something affordable that will hold helmet, bats, glove, batting gloves and player hat, like we had been putting in my son's (8) duffel style bat bag. That one was the basic Easton one that Walmart sells for 15 bucks and is a great starter bag, but helmet fit in those is a bit tight. The bottom where the bat heads go has a few holes now after a season of spring ball and then summer ball last year, so it was time for a new one. This DeMarini (Wilson) bag totally fit the bill at $33.change and fits all of his gear and then some. It's got a zipper pouch with the fence hook in it so it can be stored away and not catch on anything. Another small pouch near that for batting gloves. The main area fits his helmet and glove, and has plenty more room for a sweatshirt or windbreaker. Helmet and glove will fit separately, but it's a no-brainer to put the helmet in top-down with the glove inside it, which frees up half of the compartment. There's even a front pouch about the size of a 7" Kindle/tablet that I can put my phone, wallet and keys in while I'm coaching his team. It holds two bats on the sides (or one and a water bottle), has adjustable shoulder straps and fits like a backpack. There is even a vented pocket at the bottom in front to put his cleats in, and they should fit without a problem (size 1).Some reviews say it was difficult to get cleats in, and I haven't tried yet, but it appears that we shouldn't have any difficulty. Considering cleats have spikes on them common sense says lay the pack on its back and use your hands to work the cleat pocket open first and then don't just try to jam them in there as they'll catch on the material and make it difficult.Material seems to be good quality, and as it says in the description it looks like it will keep everything dry inside in light rain.I bought it on Sunday, received it today thanks to Prime and I'm sure my boy will love it once I bring it home this afternoon. I'm hoping we can at least get 2-3 years out of it and I'd buy the same thing again in a heartbeat. I would think it should be fine for kids up to 12 years old.All in all, after reading all the reviews and questions on this bag, it is bigger and better than I expected it to be for the price, which is a steal.

Love the fence hook and cell phone pocket.
I ordered this item after our standard type baseball bags zipper broke because of the batting helmet being too large. I ordered on Amazon because it was cheaper than the bag at Walmart and had good reviews. This bag is awesome and is well worth the money. I was able to fit my son's batting helmet with facemask, 2 gloves and his dugout buddy (a plastic caddy that hangs on the fence and holds his supplies). The items go in with room to spare-so he can pack his own bag at the end of practice. His bats (one wood, one metal) fit on the sides without making the bag cock to one side. I like that there is a padded cell phone pocket so I can drop in my phone and keys. There is also a small zipper pocket that the hook comes out of to hang of the fence, then you can conveniently zip the hook back up so it doesn't snag on other things in the trunk of the car. The cleat pocket takes up space within the bag, so we chose not to use it(he usually wears his cleats to practice anyway). If you try to carry adult cleats, this bag could be a tight fit with all the other items. The straps are padded and very comfortable. This bag looks huge (but manageable) on my 6 year old but fits myself and my husband fine.

Plenty of Room for Shoes
I used to be the guy who rolled out to the softball field with an old beat-up laundry bag carrying my glove, cleats, cup, etc. And while I'm perfectly confident in my abilities as a player, I just didn't look the part. So I bought this bag thinking it might help my pre-game confidence, which would in turn help me hit at least 3 home runs in every game. The bag itself is great. Two bat-holders, a sunglasses pouch, a zip-out fence hanger, one main area (for your gloves, hats, etc) and an area for your shoes/cleats in the bottom. I've seen people complain about that last part, but I wear size 13 cleats, and they fit in there just fine. The trick is to put your shoes in there BEFORE you load up the upper part with your glove, cup, grip tape, super tacky grip spray, compression sleeves, ankle braces, wristbands, and all that nonsense. Because once all that crap is in the bag, it's kind of tough to get your shoes crammed in there. But believe me, there's plenty of room.
