Impressive - apart from the user instructions
I have experimented with this power stick to see by how much it extends the battery life of the Osmo Pocket camera. A few things to note. First, the instructions that come in the box aren't great. Although written in English and Chinese, there is some vital information missing. For example, the instructions don't tell you that the power stick won't start to charge until the Osmo Pocket battery power has reduced to around 80%. As confirmed by Smatree, this is done to prevent over-charging. The other thing to note is that the power stick won't automatically kick in at or below 80% power level on the camera. You have to physically turn on the Smatree power stick. In practical terms, what this means is that you cannot leave the Osmo Pocket unattended during filming, which is a real pain if, for example, you are doing an extended shoot overnight. In terms of performance, the operating time of the Osmo Pocket camera on a full charge (without external power) at 1080p 30 frames per second is 140 minutes. This is according to the DJI specification for the Osmo Pocket. Using the Smatree DP20 Basic Power Stick extends the operation of the Osmo Pocket by an additional 180 minutes based on a test I did. Once the power stick was fully depleted, the camera battery level was 75%. So, 7 hours (420 minutes) in total (camera and power stick batteries). A great performance I think. Note the recording settings I used were also 1080p 30 frames per second. The other test I did was to then power the camera using just the power stick - ie, no charging of the camera using the mains electricity supply. It took 20 minutes to power the camera from flat to 20%, at which point I started filming with the power stick still charging the camera battery. Not only did the power stick operate the camera, but it continued to charge the camera battery. After an hour of filming the camera battery power was up to 60%. Very impressive! The build is really good and solid. The handle won't slip out of your hand as it seems to be made of rubber or silicone. And I like the way the Osmo Pocket is safely secured in the top of the power stick. The black colour is also a nice match for the camera.

Excellent but read
This is am excellent product. Robustly made, works very well. But the instructions are too simple. So please note if you have a Pocket 2 you may have fitted the bottom cap that contains the fitting for a small tripod. If you fit this powerstick all seems to fit but it doesn't work. This is because this particular bottom cap stops the camera making contact with the powerstick. You need to remove this cap and replace it with the other one that came with the pocket 2 or leave it off altogether. The contacts will then connect. Once you discover this it makes perfect sense but it isn't mentioned anywhere. If a tripod fitting is important to you then note that the powerstick is also ready for a tripod.

Almost perfect...Missing a key part for me though...
This is pretty much a near perfect Osmo pocket power-bank. I purchased this with the intention of combining this with the Osmo extension rod and/or selfie stick for doing long time-lapse or motion-lapses so it could run off the power-bank to boost duration. To do this you need to use it in config number 2, however the unit does not come with the convertible knob which is why this isn't 5 stars. You have to buy that as part of the Smatree Portable Holder Set Compatible (which i have purchased).know I have the convertible know I can mount it to any tripod, selfie stick or anything else with a 3/4" thread, you can then set it up and away you go. In config 2 the powerbank charges the Osmo from the go. Optimal result combine this with the polar pro wireless module mount so you can access the USB-c socket on the osmo.

This one must be faulty?
After following the instructions and having to resort to YouTube tutorials. I can get the charger to work? All charging done on the battery. Wouldn’t charge the DJI pocket at 5%. Had the recharge in the car.

Nice Product.
Saw this item on You Tube, so ordered one, nice addition for the Osmo Pocket, the handle is well made with a soft rubber feel grip, the Osmo Pocket fits in it perfectly and is locked in place with a clip, this is the only part of the handle you will need to take care with the small plastic locking latch.Once your Osmo Pocket is installed in the handle it will keep it charging as you use it, and it makes the Osmo Pocket much easier and a more comfortable item to hold, the charging handle is a great idea and feels well made.
