This is a made to order Custom V2 Clone Captain Fordo's BlasTech DC-17 extended side arm blaster pistol prop. It was designed from the ground up to feature a slide back cocking mechanism, moving trigger, magnetic ammo clip and more. This blaster is assembled from a 3-D printed PLA plastic and is constructed and reinforced inside to strengthen the prop and then weathered. I also take the time to add a high gloss metal effect through out the blaster to make it look like the original prop. The unfinished kit option is for a printed set of parts which you can assemble and paint on your own. The commando pistol was class of powerful blaster pistols utilized by elite or specialized units in various militaries, particularly by the belligerent factions of the Clone Wars and Galactic Civil War. Commando pistol was a moniker used to describe blaster pistols that were of superior firepower and capabilities than their baser counterparts. Capable of great rates of sustained fire and low recoil, they were in general pistols designed for greater efficiency than average blaster pistols. This was in part due to the fact that many commando pistols were merely heavily modified or upgraded versions of the standard issue pistols in various militaries, a notable exception being the DC-17 hand blaster. In this capacity, they were commonly issued to pilots or other specialized units during the Clone Wars and Galactic Civil War and associated with elite soldiers.
