BIRDROCK Home Abaca and Seagrass Side Chair Set - 2 pc - Delivered Fully Assembled

No thanks to the two previous reviews along with the sellers misrepresented "comfortable" description, I purchased 4 sets of these chairs (eight total). The chair looks very attractive and seems sturdy. "BUT" the chairs are not comfortable. Seven people friend & family, all agree that these chairs are very uncomfortable to sit for dining, enjoying a nice conversation or any other social event. They do not offer good back support. Any slight movement you will slide, which makes sitting uncomfortable and annoying after a few minutes. Of the seven people that judged the chairs we were of different height and shape. I would not be writing this review if one or more person would say it's comfortable. I contacted the seller Sofia & Sam; they state by email through Amazon the chair is comfortable to a large portion of the population. This was not mentioned on thier description of the product.(Or he tried possibly to insult me). I mentioned that I spent $1399.96 on these chairs because of their description & we are unhappy with the chair. I was told I need to pay to ship the returned merchandise. Each box is 42" in height and roughly 24" square. They weigh about 51 lbs each. My total cost to ship these items back is over $943. I was told by the seller to keep them and sell them locally. I complained that their misrepresentation will cause me monetary loss. (as you can see). I hate the fact that they will make a profit, because they expect the consumer will not return due to the high cost of shipping. I did ship and filed a claim with Amazon A to Z Guarantee. Amazon A to Z Guarantee is worth less they denied me, no email on why. The grievance is that they were misrepresented I would never have bought these chairs on line, but due to Amazon's guarantee on all purchases I proceeded. I spent $1399.96 of my hard earned money on a fair and true purchase. I am now down over $943 to return. If we simply did not like the chairs I would keep them, due to the high cost of returning. I feel I was sold a misrepresented item. The same as if there was a defect item. I can not believe Amazon will allow a seller to go unchecked. Please understand the look is what I want for my home, they are beautiful BUT they are not comfortable. I now loss faith in Amazon and know they will back their A to Z guarantee.

Over the past year we have purchased numerous Birdrock Sea Grass items - including 6 dining/side chairs, 2 bar height chairs, 2 counter height chairs, a rolling file cabinet, a stool, and desk baskets. The items are beautiful and well made. HOWEVER, the chairs do not wear well. In just a few months, the sea grass cracked and the outer layer peeled off on 3 different chairs. We contacted the manufacturer about the problem and possible repairs, but they advised that the problem is normal wear. Be aware that the chairs do not wear well. Based on the price of these items, we were surprised that the sea grass cracked and peeled so quickly and that the manufacturer does not offer any solutions to the issue.

Love these chairs! They are heavy solid well made chairs. Bought one pair for a small table downstairs in our home to use as filler accent chairs. But when they arrived I loved the way they looked so much we switched it up and purchase 2 more sets and moved them to the front room main table and order the bar stools from BirdRock Home that match. They are stunning and we have receive tons of compliments.Be warned, the first couple of times you sit on them the sound the stretching sea grass makes is a little unsettling. Almost sounds like they are breaking. But we had a bunch a people over for the Thanksgiving holiday with all the sitting action no more stretching sounds only beautiful chairs remain.

I was very skeptical about ordering furniture online, not trusting the quality of the merchandise that I might receive. However, I managed to get up the nerve to order 2 sets of these chairs (4), and when they arrived, I could not believe how beautiful and sturdy they were. The colors in the Seagrass is beautiful and they are woven very strongly. Both my husband and I were so pleased with the quality, look and feel of these chairs. We purchased them to go with a glass top dining table that we had purchased for our kitchen area. The look is amazing. This has turned out to be one of the best online purchases that I have ever made. If you are looking for this type and style of chairs, I would strongly recommend them. My dad always told me not to love something that can’t love you back, but I can’t help it. These chairs are so beautiful I find myself just looking at them for no reason. They are not the most comfortable, but for sitting down to have a meal are not uncomfortable...... however I don’t think I’d like to sit on one for a prolonged period.I bought 2 sets of 2 and thought they were darker than the picture (which they are) . After I got the first set I was afraid the next 2 wouldn’t be as dark and not match, but they do and so do the counter stools that I ordered.....

These chairs are very heavy and well made. They have updated the look of my eat in kitchen in one fell swoop! My only complaint is that they are not super comfortable. Though, a few hours on them is fine. We tend to eat at our kitchen counter most of the time, so it is not really an issue.

Looks great in our kitchen. One chair had misaligned screws and we had to buy longer screws. My only concern is that bits of the finish are falling off the grass braids. Also the color was darker than the picture.

My biggest and most important complaint is the paint started to chip off and the material started to show. Also one of my chair came apart at the seam on the seat. I thought these beautiful chairs were unique and a quality purchase but they have proven not to be.
