My Favorite Bible
I love this Bible. I want to read through the Bible this year, and the paragraph format makes it much easier to read for long periods of time. I usually read one or two chapters and then have to stop. But with this format, I find myself reading 10 or more chapters in one sitting and having a hard time putting the Bible down. At first, I thought the lack of in text headings would bother me, since I like to know what section I am reading about. But I found that the lack of text teadings helps me to say focused and makes the Bible read more like a novel. The text headings have always signaled bor me that I have finished a section, which akes me want to stop reading. The lack of in-text headings in this Bible, keeps the text together without any signs that would have me slow down or stop.I also love the Reader's Companion in the back of the Bible. It is a mixture of a dictionary and concordnace. I have used it several times, and it is very helpful. I prefer it to just a concordance which is what the other Clarion versons have. I'm glad I got the KJV since it is my favroite translation and the only one with the Reader's Companion.I am concerned aboit the binding though. I like the calf split cover, but the glue in the binding is already starting to crack. I am only in Exedous, and am afraid the Bible will fall apart on me by the time I get to Revelations. I do like the fact that Cambridge has a warranty, and will replace the Bible if it comes to that. But if I read through the entire Bible, I want to keep that same copy, not a replacement copy. I wish Cambridge would use better glue , especially since these Bible are so expensive. A warranty is nice, but making things right the first time is even better.Dispite the binding concerns, I love this Bible and would recommend it to anyone wou wants to sit down and really read through the Bible.

Classy and High Quality
I have an old Cambridge that I love, this one was a gift for my Wife. It has the same quality that I have always appreciated. The leather is high quality, pages are crisp. The main complaint in the reviews seems to be the text bleed through - but I can tell you this - after years of using mine, I had to grab it and look at it to see ‘Oh yeah, I guess it does a little’ … so clearly you can get used to it fast, and it’s not a big deal. It hasn’t bugged me in over 10 years, and I don’t recall it being a problem when I first got it. This new Cambridge is the same quality, and my Wife hasn’t complained about the pages at all. I would recommend this to anyone that wants a quality Bible that lasts.

Tremendous Bible
I recently purchased the Clarion Edition of the Cambridge Bible, King James Version, and simply love it. As a pastor, I have been studying the Bible in detail for thirty years, comparing Scripture with Scripture and spiritual things with spiritual things. There are times, however, when I just like to sit and read a large portion of Scripture, and I have found the Clarion Edition an excellent Bible with which to perform this. Instead of being printed in two columns per page as most Bibles, it is printed in a single, expanded column form. This makes it far easier to read straight through and also helps in keeping one's attention. I can highly recommend this Bible not only for its content and lay out but also for its fine quality.

Probably one of the best bibles out there to date
Probably one of the best bibles out there to date. I was really pleased with the craftsmanship. I believe more bibles need to be single column, speaking for myself single column bible reading has transformed my devotional time. I am more likely to envision the scripture without being distracted by all the notes and spaces, this way you have a more of a cohesive format to read it just as is. It makes a tremendous difference.I have held alot of bibles in my time and this one is nearly perfect, unencumbered! Simplicity is best. My future hope is that The Clarion Cambridge publishers would make this bible with 11 pt font or higher I am sure alot more readers would be attracted to it. I highly recommend this single column KJV, its one of a kind and worth the price.

A Bible For All Seasons (Cambridge calf split leather)
This is an excellent Bible by Cambridge! There is a lot of talk about the elegance of goatskin Bibles and and smoothness of calfskin, but if you want a thick leather Bible that can "grind", by which I mean stand up to rugged use, that feels sturdy in your hand, and that is built like a rock, then calf split is the way to go. It costs the least but seems to do the most...I rest my case!

A beautifully produced Bible
ESV Clarion Reference Edition Black Calf Split Leather ES483:XMy reason for purchasing this edition of the English Standard Version of the Bible is that it is one of only a very few single-column editions. It has long irked me that the poetic books in particular have lost their proper layout thanks to an insistence on two-column printing by most publishers. The ESV is my preferred modern translation: having tried most of the others now, I keep coming back to it.I bought this particular binding after viewing various online video reviews, coming to the conclusion that the extra cost of the two other ones was too great a differential. It is the same binding as my BCP/KJV Heritage Edition – another deciding factor. The printing is generally excellent and clear. Others have commented on show-through from the reverse of the page and so on, but frankly, one will get that with any book printed on 'Bible paper', and this is 25gsm. The pages are carefully line-matched to minimise this. There has also been mention made of the edges of the pages curling. Mine did do this a little the first time I used it, but not since – I cured the problem by turning the page over and smoothing it. What it does do well is stay open even at the extremes of Genesis and Revelation despite being very new. There are plentiful cross-references, as the description implies and a concordance and maps (with index) at the back. There are really only three improvements I can think of: more ribbon markers (two simply isn't enough), inclusion (or at least the option) of the Apocrypha, and Anglicised text (if Collins and OUP can manage it, why not Cambridge?).

Happy reader
The Bible arrived with me well packaged and in perfect condition. I really like the size of this Clarion Bible; it feels just right. The split calfskin cover is elegant and yet tough-looking. The best part is the layout of the Clarion, in paragraph format, making it highly readable. The readers’ companion at the back of the Bible is handy but unobtrusive. And of course, the majestic English of the KJV makes it a joy to read. Well worth the money.

Good Buy
Beautiful Bible. Calf split leather grips to your fingers when handling it as opposed to the goatskin and is less expensive. Pleasing dimensions, font size and layout. The proverbs and psalms are so easy on the eyes. Like reading a novel, you can flip through it all day.
