I've Lost My Hippopotamus

My 7 year old daughter is loving this book. She usually prefers to read non-fiction about topics that interest her - mostly animals. These short, funny poems with fun animal illustrations are great for getting her interested in a different kind of reading. She likes them so much she brought the book in to school to read to her friends!

Fun rhymes with engaging rhythms and word patterns!!! Great for littles and bigs.

We checked this out from our library and our 2 and 4-year-olds loved it, and so did my 83-year-old dad! We bought it for him for Christmas, and he keeps commenting on how much he is enjoying reading the poems. Money well spent!

great book of poems for kids writtten much like shel silverstien's books of poems.

I gave this to one of my students to read. She loved it and couldn't stop reading all the funny poems.It is definitely a hit!
