This is my 1st ever experience using a grip on a camera (a7iii) and could not be happier with it. I've used this vertical grip on several shoots over the past couple of months and love it. I had never used a vertical grip before but wanted to try something that was inexpensive and I'm glad I did. The grip fits perfectly on my A7iii camera body, the custom functions work flawlessly and the outer skin matches that of the Sony body itself.There are only two down sides, however they are very minor in my opinion. First, the grip adds a bit of size and weight to a small and light mirrorless body. For me, this is fine for my portrait sessions and weddings, but I won't use the grip when taking the camera on trips. Second, while using the battery grip in portrait orientation I find it difficult to reach the joystick and control wheel with my thumb even though I have large hands with long fingers. Again, not a deal breaker but something worth noting.In my view, the product quality looks and feels top notch. I am very happy with the product and the item was shipped within the time frame I was quoted with the item new in the box. I highly recommend this to anyone looking to save some money as an alternative to the Sony branded grip.

This is a must-have for any photographer. It makes it so much easier to shoot with the camera and allows me to be more creative with my shots. It's also versatile and I can use it for both portrait and landscape shooting. I love that it is easy to use and has all of the features I need, including multi battery use.

I have been using this battery grip for a while now, and have been really impressed by the way this unit feels in the hand. This unit allows you to use two sony batteries at the same time. Something else that I really like about this grip is that it also has a joystick built into it which allows you to change the point of focus, while in vertical photo mode.Although the material of the battery grip is not the same as the rubber on the sony a7iii, it is still very good and feels nice in the hand.My only concern with this unit is that the battery open close door knob is made of metal, so far I haven’t had any issues with it, but would have loved to see a more robust option.Also the battery grip allows you to store your cameras battery door in the battery grip itself, so that when you are using the battery grip you don’t accidentally lose the battery door.

I didn’t want to spend so much on a grip but when I go out to shoot I’d like to know if my battery dies I don’t have to worry so I decided to give this a try. It fits very nicely to my Sony a7riii and everything works nicely. It feels great in my hand and looks good on my camera. I did play with it a little bit at home to test it all out and honestly I was very happy with it fairly quickly. It came on time and nicely packaged. I absolutely love it and would definitely recommend it.

This group is very well made and has been working flawlessly with my 7aiii. I have my camera set to back focus and the AEL on the grip works for back focus as well!! It shows the battery life of both batteries on the screen. It also feels really good in my hand and I am a woman with medium to smallish hands. I have yet to find any negative issues with the scrip nor have I seen any battery drain while it's powered off. I would recommend this group over the Sony grip, the quality is great and the price is even better!

I bought this a few days ago, and when I received the unit I put my batteries in it and got it hooked up to my Sony A7III, but when I would turn the camera on I would get the “incompatible battery’ error and my camera wouldn’t turn on. I tried changing batteries, turning it off and on again, cleaning the connectors and nothing. Sent it back and got my replacement today and it works wonders. It connects to the camera and is a very comfortable fit. I love being able to use the buttons on the grip for taking vertical pictures. With the batteries, the grip adds a little bit of weight to the bottom of the camera, but it’s not an awkward weight. It’s very comfortable to hold and use in all orientations. I would recommend this product for any photographer looking to extend their camera battery life, as well as just have a more comfortable experience taking photos!UPDATE: A day later and the battery grip is now rendering my camera unusable. So now I get the “battery incompatible” error. Save yourself the hassle and go with the native grip, not this piece of garbage.
