Used it twice to protect me and my dogs from strays while walking. Dogs never got within 15 feet with the excellent mist cone this delivers. Everyone I know has since ordered one and I just ordered the larger size since there's not much left of this can after two uses (+-6bursts)The stream spray is pointless IMHO. Go mist cone!Almost deducted a Star for no belt clip but I ordered some metal belt clips from Amazon for next to nothing and glued one on.

This spray is for real. I know of no other spray that has the effects of this product. I accidentally suffered a small amount of this spray when the wind changed suddenly. I felt like I had been sprayed with fire, the reactions were like actually being on fire. Wow, will be more careful next time I use this product.

This is a great product for self defense and you should get this or something like it soon. Don't wait until you have a situation where you needed it, but you put off buying it. I think it is better than a gun for self defense because it will almost instantly stop anyone from doing whatever it is they are doing, but, they don't have to die and you don't need to feel bad or go to court to prove that you are the good guy and that dead guy was a bad guy.It's a no brainer, as they say. No matter if you are out on the street all the time or stay home most of the time, a situation can arise where you may need to defend yourself and this can of pepper spray will do that better than a gun, if the bad guy doesn't have one, or Karate lessons. Calling the police for help won't save you either. It's up to you and this is the ace up your sleeve you really need on your side.The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because the can design is short and wide instead of thin and a little taller. Thiner would fit in a pocket much easier and that may make me carry another brand some day.I'm no genius and I'm not an expert, but I am above average in common sense and I'm telling you that if a mugger attacks you, he has the advantage of strength, surprise and sometimes numbers, but, if you have at least a 2oz. can of this Fox 5.3 pepper spray, you can instantly have the advantage over him, even if it's 2 or 3 or more guys,you will win every time. How much is that advantage worth? 20 bucks? I think that's the biggest bargain of your life, if you ever need it and you have it on you.If your state allows this product for self-defense, then get it, you deserve an advantage.If your state doesn't, then you should ask them why?Any state that watches criminals use weapons for stealing and sometimes raping good people,but won't allow those same good people to use the same weapons in their own defense,is a state that cares little about the good people and is not a good state.I hope you never need this stuff, but if you do, I hope you live in a good state.

If someone is following you, you can spray this behind you (and up high) as you walk, and they will most likely stop following. The spray creates a cloud - if someone walks thru that cloud the oil-like substance sticks to the lips, skin & eyes - so, even if they dont breath it in at first, they will be affected - then when they breath or open their eyes, they will not like the results

Know 2 people in law enforcement and they say this is the best. They have to have it used on themselves, just like having to be hit with stun gun, part of their training. All say this is worse than anything. Have carried for several years, never used, just peace of mind. Love the safety cap that prevents from accidentally discharging in pocket or wherever. Shoots a nice fog pattern that is excellent. See in description difference between stream or fog pattern. Fog pattern reduces chance of miss compared to stream. Will buy more when these expire. Yes they do have a recommended Exp date. I have some that expired 2010 but it still sprays. Not a toy or prank toy. Check the laws in your area for the legalities.

I wouldnt recommend buying this product from Amazon. I use pepper spray regularly at my job and is important equipment to have. I did a test spray after receiving the item and it was fine but as soon as I had to use it at Work the Can backfired and began sputtering spray out and covered my hand in the liquid. I was lucky a had a backup Can that I bought from a store that I was able to use as i was under attack from a man high on drugs. Self defense is important to have reliable equipment and I was extremely displeased with this product

I've never had to use it "for real" but when I've tested it to see how strongly it comes out I've gotten a very small whiff of it and that little bit made me sneeze, my eyes water, and affected my breathing.

This is what you want. Easy to carry in a pouch or pocket. Effective cone pattern.I have to buy another- my last one seems to have walked off. IDK where it went.
