Bought for 1500 bucks during a discounted sale, I am a bit disappointed with the collection. This collection actually celebrates 80 years of Batman in DC comics including the precursor and few stories which did not remotely feature Batman. Also, the selection of Batman stories could have been better and the modern era Batman was almost overlooked (presented with a single Scott Snyder story). A person like me who absolutely love Batman, I felt that this collection was a mediocre one.

Can't claim to be a comic book expert, but this appears to be a fine selection of vintage and more contemporary Batman stories selected from an impressive 80 years. The hardback format really helps to appreciate the artwork, and the number of stories is impressive. Good value then, in one word - fabulous!

Tons of content, good quality book, a real sense of history, but some of the older texts are a bit wordy and clunky.
