It really works
It helps my husband. When it came, the braces were inserted backwards, so it didn't move at all, but he figured it out, switched it and then it worked. It really helped him on our recent road trip.

Same one from dr
So happy I was able to find the same knee brace I got from a dr about 9 years ago for a dislocated kneecap. I needed a smaller size but wanted the same one. I’m pretty sure it was much cheaper here as well. My thigh measures 18.5” and calf 15” and the size medium just fits. It’s pretty tight but I know it’ll stretch a bit with time.

Just a bit too big, pretty uncomfortable.
So I was prescribed to wear this for a partially torn ACL so it's not like I had many choices, it's definitely more supportive than a Ace Bandage brand one (hence the four stars). However I am experiencing size issues now that the elastic is kinda stretching out. Started having these problems at about two weeks of wearing it and was told to wear it for six, honestly at the six week mark I think it's going to be much too stretched out to fit properly. It slides down my leg if worn directly on my skin and if it's not worn crazy tight there's no hope of that working. I did ask my doctor initially if they were certain of the fit and if I was going to be okay at work in this thing. (I average about 15,000 steps per day when I have work, a slow day might be 13,000 minimum.) It itches if worn directly on my skin in addition to the slipping issue so I started wearing leg warmers or thin pants under it after day one. I get this is a medically required thing but maybe a smaller size would have fit better if it is gonna stretch that much. (Not that they make them any smaller......)Honestly if I bought a bra or an exercise garment and it did this, I would be very upset and wouldn't buy the same kind again. (Because choices exist with those things.) It's pretty upsetting to me that the material doesn't seem to hold up being that this is a medically required device. (Should at least hold up to six weeks of wear that the doctor prescribed.)

Comfortable but wears too quickly.
Ease of use, comfort, but wears too out quickly.

non-intuitive fit
Got this brace for hubby; it makes his knee feel so stable, he asked me to order another to keep in the car, so he's prepared for unexpected physical situations.Main reason I'm writing this review, however, is to give folks a heads up, which I did not see in the either the description, or questions... The round hole in this brace -- which normally goes *over the knee* in soft braces -- should actually go behind the BACK of your knee. (That way the metal "stays" will flex in the correct direction.) Makes a big diff!

Supportive and not uncomfortable
Good product. Wore it constantly until knee surgery. Sturdy and effective. Read sizing carefully- I’m 5’6” 150 lbs and wear the large.
