Environmental Air Sponge, 1 Lb.

In a moment of stupidity, I left a rug covering part of a floor heater in a rental unit. The next day I found the rug mostly melted and the apartment smelled, which previously had a faint cigarette smell, now had an overpowering burnt plastic smell which would make you gag while you were standing OUTSIDE. Going inside made your eyes water and you literally had to shower and change clothes to remove the smell on you. So, I started airing out the apartment and using carpet cleaner and washing all of the removable fabrics... and it still stunk to holy hell. So, I went on amazon & bought 2 of these & 2 of another brand (The Originalt Bad Air Sponge - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001SBMLAM/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1) and opened all of them :) I scattered them around the apartment and closed all of the windows & doors and left for a few days. I used the lids to flip the sponge out of the container so more surface area was exposed. After a few days, the smell was drastically reduced, and after a week it was a very faint smell. I haven't been able to see how they have worked long term, as the apartment was rented (thankfully these worked well enough that someone wanted to live in there.. before using them, it was difficult to spend more than 30 minutes in the unit without getting nauseous). A few weeks later, a friend had a skunk get in the crawl space. She tried everything to get rid of the smell & nothing was having much of an impact on the skunk scent. I told her about these & the next time I saw her, she was amazed at how well they had worked. So, if you have a horrible smelling room or house or car.. TRY THESE!! I don't know how much time these saved me! I'm getting ready to order more of them for other rentals & realized I hadn't reviewed them yet. So I can say I would definitely order them again because I'm going to order more right after I post this :)

I initially bought the air sponge because of very strong oder (of something dead) coming from my closet. I placed two of these in my closet and within one day the smell was 10 times better. After two days the smell was gone!!! Little did I know, there was a dead mouse in the attic just above the closet. After discovering this (and removing the mouse), I took one of the air sponges and placed it in the attic. Within two days, the attic was clear too. I must admit I was skeptical when I first bought the air sponge. However, I wanted to try everything and everything to make the smell go away. I tried the air sponge and it worked great!!!

This environmental air sponge does seem to absorb odours. I initially bought it to try to get a cigarette smoke smell out of a sofa -- but I think it was too big a task for this product. I could still smell the cigarette smoke every time I sat on the sofa, so I finally got rid of the sofa. I use the environmental air sponge now in the room where we have our cat's litter box, and it does a great job of keeping the room odour-free. My only wish is that it came with some kind of a screen on top of the package after the lid is removed. With the open container, I have to keep this up in a high spot where our cat can't get at it. A screen across the opening might prevent pets from trying to eat it.

We have a dead mouse somewhere in our basement. The smell was very strong and we searched endlessly to find the dead mouse to no avail. We currently have our house on the market and will be showing the house to prospective buyers. We absolutely did not want to show the house with the smell of a dead mouse in the basement. Upon delivery of this product, which was in the afternoon, I took the lid off, placed it in the general vicinity of the smell and when I came downstairs to check this morning, the SMELL IS COMPLETELY GONE! I am shocked it worked this well! I highly recommend this product!

These Nature Air sponges do not work. No odors were removed at all after a week and a half of being in the area to remove the odor. I was hoping while not perfect it would do something. I should have stuck with the Original Bad Air sponges that have worked very well The ORIGINAL Bad Air Sponge Odor Absorbing Neutralant, 14oz . Even worse I wasn't even saving much. I do not recommend these at all. It should also be noted that I was sent an email to first contact the company with issues before posting bad reviews. I replied to them how the two sponges I bought did not work and I was dissatisfied with the product. That was last week and I have heard nothing from them yet so I am now giving this review and letting others know my results. I also added a picture of the actual product next to the casing, which makes me think these are a bad knock off of the Bad Air sponge since they "look" the same. They have those odd dark flex of something. These sponges have been fully exposed (two in the basement) for about two weeks now. Really disappointed with these.

Anytime we buy something new (mattresses, carpets, a house!), these are the first things I buy. I am very sensitive to odors, and though I do not love the odor of the sponge, itself, it beats the alternatives. Off-gassing mattresses, furniture, carpets, construction, wood stains...all these things make it hard for me to breathe, and make me very uncomfortable. The air sponge makes pretty short work of this stuff. We just built a house that used spray insulation. The last time that was used on an addition we had built, I had to stay out of the house for a month, and had allergies for two years. Used the air sponge before moving into this house, and I have been able to stay. No allergies. No trouble breathing. We've had a lot of new furniture, mattresses and carpets come in, and the air sponge has made their off-gassing better within days (two), and unnoticeable in less than a week. For me, this is a short time. Maybe, if you're not as sensitive as I am to these things, this product will rock even harder :-) I LOVE these things. They make my home more comfortable.

Good product. Works very well. Long lasting and nice scent. Good value for money.

Turned up like water as opposed to the smaller ones I have bought which look like a sponge. When I opened it alot fell on the floor like water

Little benefit

I am sensitive to smells of perfume and this emits a slight soapy smell. Not for me!
