ProMaster Digital HGX Polarizing Filter 95mm

Works as expected, very fair price, excellent quality

It's a good quality CPL filter with good anti reflection coating to avoid flares. Also the reflection reduction capability by the CPL is very good. Unfortunately, the base of the filter and the turning front part of the CPL are wider than the filter thread, at least on my 95mm version. On my Canon 28-70mm f2 this means that the lens hood cannot be attached when the filter is mounted. Theoretically, it would be possible to first mount the lens hood and then the filter, but since the hood doesn't have side latch, it would be very difficult to mount the filter due to the turning front part of a CPL. Removing the filter would be presumably even more difficult.The provided case is nice, but it has a locking mechanism that works by friction. It holds very tight, but as it doesn't have any pins that need to be aligned like other cases, it requires actually more attention how to align the thicker and narrower part of the case, since you can't just put the lid on without looking and turning it until it snaps in.
