There was a slight smell when I took the plastic wrapper from the handles, but that quickly evaporated. I love this bag - really soft leather and a beautiful deep blue. Two zipped areas and two pouches inside the bag, finished with a top zip to keep your belongings secure. It's the perfect size to use the handles over your shoulder, although it does come with a long 'cross body' handle if you prefer. Good quality stitching, well worth the money.

I don't usually write reviews as I buy from Amazon so frequently, I haven't got the time to spend on commenting on each and every item. However, I had to comment on this bag as this is the first time I've had such an experience with an Amazon product.Simply, for the pleasant colour of the bag, I gave it 2 stars. BUT that was where the pleasantry ended!Horribly poor quality. Zip opened up whenever I zipped it up. If you don't mind the contents of your bag spilling out, then get this bag. Highly disappointed. What hurts the most was that I had to actually throw the bag in the bin after 2 weeks of purchasing it due to the excruciating, chemical smell that wasn't worth the health risk . £20 spent, no bag..

I loved this bag from the moment I received it. I attached the long strap, but quickly removed it, as the 2 straps are plenty long enough for me to put it over my shoulder, and it fits snugly under my arm for security. I use it 7 days a week, five of those going to work and back with everything but the kitchen sink in it! Never had a moment's problem with it, but would buy another one if something happened to it. If I were to pick a hole in it, I don't like the small internal zipped pocket, but that may be more to do with the fact that I have filled it with pills, creams, hairbands and god alone knows what - I'm scared to look! Recommended for sure.

Really pleased with this purchase. I debated whether to buy this or the larger version. I'm glad I decided on the smaller one which is more than adequate. Lovely soft leather.

This is a spacious and well made bag, perfect for work days. I can fit my 11 inch MacBook air into it easily, plus all the usual other stuff we carry around with us in handbags! It is definitely not real leather - and as some other reviewers have noted, it has a strange smell, which after a week of use hasn’t yet disappeared, but I don’t find that too much of a problem. The over shoulder strap is not very comfortable when the bag is full, which is my only slight criticism. However I get the feeling it will last well. It looks great and the colour is lovely. I would recommend it.

I ordered as on my wish list and a present to myself. It is divine.The quality is of a leather bag a lot more expensive. The leather is so, so soft like kid leather. The base of the bag even has what quality very expensive ones have , and that is brass round leather protection feet. Out of all the bags I have and I have a lot but only one of this quality which cost me nearly £200 in a sale, so can you imagine my joy?. Off to see if anymore left in a different colour. Ps I ordered the amazing blue. If you are thinking about purchasing. Go buy it before they disappear, because believe you and me the quality is worth at least 5 times more and them some
