LifeGrip Anti Slip Safety Tape, Non Slip Stair Tread, Textured Rubber Surface, Comfortable for Bare Foot, Black (1" X 30' Black)

This review is for the Black 2"x15' size.I am actually using this tape to improve the grip of my gaming mouse. The plastic on my mouse has gotten slippery after many months of usage so I started looking for ways to improve the grip. Most grip tape products out there are just sandpaper with adhesive backing, like what you'd use on a skateboard. Sandpaper is too sharp for prolonged contact with skin. It's fine for shoe soles but I needed something for my fingers to grip. I found these and the title said "Comfortable for Bare Foot." I can confirm they are comfortable for bare fingers too.This tape is very easy to work with. I was able to cut it to shape with a normal pair of scissors. The adhesive backing is sealed with a thin plastic film that you peel away when you're ready to stick it on. This is good because I was able to cut it into the perfect shape and dry fit it before committing to sticking it down and boy does it stick down. The adhesive is very strong as it is meant for foot traffic. Hopefully it will stay in place and not move around over time.The rubberized surface is rough and sort of looks like sandpaper, but it is not at all sharp and provides good friction without being sticky or tacky. It adds about 1mm of thickness so that is something to consider if you're using this for hand grips but definitely no danger of tripping over the thickness of this tape with your feet.With 15 feet I have plenty of spares and I'm already planning to use it for other things like hand tools and rails. Overall I like this product and wouldn't hesitate to recommend to others.

I originally purchased this product because it looked like the perfect alternative to the sandpaper kind of tape. I needed to apply something on my dog agility weave pole bases to make them non-slip. I needed 1.5" but all that I could find was 1" and 2". I purchased the 1" because I felt the 2" would be a pain to cut and I didn't have a lot of time before a trial.This product worked very well, and the gray color looked awesome against my aluminum bases. The tape cut and applied easily. I have left my bases out in the weather for over two months, and it has not lifted up, lost its slip resistance, or fadedAbout a month later I needed to take care of my mother who had fallen and had a concussion. The mat I had for the shower kept slipping under her. I had some left over tape, so I applied it to my shower. I rounded off the ends of each strip I cut. Worked like a charm. This product has been in our shower for almost 2 months with no peeling or loss of grip. My only critique is that I wished there was a white color.

I needed something to help provide a non-slip surface on the treads of the step stools that I use around the house. The stools are black, and this product blends in wonderfully. I chose the rubber non-slip tape over the traditional sandpaper-like tape for 2 reasons:1. we often use the step stools in bare feet or with just sock on and the traditional tapes are uncomfortable or latch on to the socks2. I have scuffed shoes too many times with the other style non-slip tapes. One trip to the shoe repair store cost more than a whole roll of this tape.

Rather than pay through the nose for a replacement Roomba wheel that I would need to install, I bought this. Four payers, carefully glued down using Gorilla Glue and allowed to set between layers made the perfect thickness to replace the tread that had gone missing.Those wheels do a lot of turning and backing and forwarding so I was cautious about praising it until now. Months later the "tread" made from this tape is going strong and showing no signs of wear.Happy? You bet! A $5.00 2nd hand shop find and a buck worth of this tape and I have a Roomba that is keeping a large room's carpet clean.

As a disclaimer, I must admit I did not buy this product for anti slip on steps. I was hoping I could use this to enhance the grip on other objects such as video game controllers, pistol grips, and other items. The tape is very thick with decent adhesion, but a little too thick for whats hoping to try. I found the product becomes more maleable if heat it with a blow dryer after applying. Overall it seems quite durable.

I’ve stuck this on the underside of furniture that I don’t want sliding on tile or scratching them.It is rubber, but harder than I was looking for. It doesn’t grip to the tile as much as I hoped it would. But it works acceptably and does not appear to be damaging the tiles.The attachment adhesive seems good. I did drop glue on each end of the feet and rely on the adhesive for the length between ends. Of course my application has it in compression.

Our front porch is concrete and has a 4 1/2 inch step to the walk.Not sure if it's the fact the the porch and walk are concrete or the step is to shallow, but many times if we didn't warn people to watch their step, they lose their balance stepping down. Could only find an anti-slip product with a reflective line at the local hardware stores. Bought one and it was ok but not ideal.A week later a light went off. AMAZON!!Found 2" x 15" Black + Reflective Stripe Lifegrip anti-slip tape.The perfect solution. Installation was a breeze and the product looks great.Just had over 30 people at our house this past weekend, it the Lifegrip tape got noticed.Exactly what was needed.

I wish I had gotten this sooner. I've lived in my house for 8 years and the stairs down to the basement have a rubberized tread on it which tends to get slippery with wet or sock feet. It took one pretty good fall to convince me I needed a little extra protection. The 30' roll gave me 13, 2' wide pieces for my steps and I can say they feel MUCH safer than they did before. For less than $30, it's worth it for the peace of mind.

I was looking for a way to make my cell phone case feel more secure in my hand and not feel like sandpaper. This tape is awesome! I added this to the contact areas of the case and it made my phone much more secure. No more worries about dropping the phone when sliding it out of my jacket pocket, or on a rainy day.

The item does not feel good walking on it in bare feet as it claims on the product page.

I use it to place it under something that needs to move around a lot. Didn't want to use the classic abrasion tape as it would scratch my floor. This tape works great for my application!
