Stiebel Eltron 231584 985W, 120V, Stainless Steel Metallic Ultronic 1S Touchless Automatic Hand Dryer

I have installed a few different types of hand dryer and I can say thusfar this Stiebel unit is my favorite. It is not as loud as an Xlerator unit, but dries hands nearly as fast. Fit and finish are excellent on these units and they feel very stout when installed. Everything from the wiring compartment to the terminal blocks is well thought out and is easily accessible. A great feature of these dryers is their low power consumption. The air produced is still adequately warm even with the greatly reduced heating element wattage. The ~9A load on 120V means you do not need to upsize your wire run which is fantastic for retrofit situations. Some other dryers I have installed in the past draw 20A on 120V which means pulling a dedicated 10AWG circuit. This seems very wasteful for a product that is trying to cut down on waste. On a side note, If you are considering purchasing one of these units I can not urge you strongly enough to NOT purchase them from Amazon. I recently ordered three identical units to be used in a facility and Amazon sent two wrong items, and another arrived damaged due to insufficient packaging. I spent more than two hours on the phone with four different representatives and more time still in chats trying to get a simple RMA. I have never had such poor customer service in my life. Shame on you Amazon.
