This antenna has increased my internet speed from 4 mgbs down to 20 and 1 mgbs up to 5. Mine came with only one extension cable but the company is sending me the missing one. Once i get that and can move the antenna another 4 feet closer to the router i expect even better results.

I thought the antenna on my wifi was not good enough ( little square with magnet ) , so I figured this may help. It did install easy and I ordered extra length cable so I could position the antenna. As it turns out, it did little or nothing to improve my signal . I may have a outdated WiFi card. But put my old little antenna back on and put this in the drawer.

I bought this to correct a painfully slow connection from my desktop machine.It had recently been moved into a corner that placed the existing antennae such that signal had to pass through the metal computer case, a metal/glass table and a 43" monitor to get to the router. Download speeds on the machine were at best 10% of what it was getting before the move. Now, It is running at full speed.Installation was quick and easy. I did not need the extension cables for my particular install but, I'll have them if another move happens.

Magnets right to the back of my TV in my htpc setup! This fixed the connection issue I was having with my PS4 controllers. Great product. Also seems fairly durable

This product caused consistently ~weaker~ signals than the original antennas on the back of my desktop's PCI wi-fi card.Technical discussion follows.I have adequate signal strength at the computer on both the 2.4 and 5 GHz bands, and was hoping to go from three bars to full scale as measured by the Windows 10 Network Properties popup. Improved signal usually improves thruput speed. During testing, I swapped the two connectors, I placed the unit line-of-sight to the router, I oriented the antennas differently, and never could get above two signal bars on either band, with many dropouts along the process.Frankly, it looks like the antennas on this unit are physically identical. That's a serious shortcoming because of the difference in radio signal wavelength between the two wi-fi bands. A much better design, and what I had hoped for with this purchase, would have one, dedicated 5GHz "gain" antenna, with its connector marked as to that band, and another antenna cut to the 2.4GHz wavelength, with its connector so-marked. I speculated, optimistically, that the outer housings concealed some electrical differences inside these two rods, but came to a bad conclusion when swapping the two unmarked connectors made no improvement on either band.I am returning this product for a refund. NOT recommended.My next move will be to pursue purpose-built antennas for 5GHz, with low-loss coaxial cable, terminated in this type of connector, that might be available from commercial two-way radio and industrial communications supply houses.

I broke the rabbit ears that came with my gigabyte wifi card. Got this one as a replacment and as a nice side bonus it is better much better signal then it did with the old ears. 3 to 4 bars on 5g as before it would only get 2 bars strength

I installed those instead of my old tiny gigabyte antenna, do that 4 x times long cable you would think now I am half way closes to the router the improvement should be significant. Almost zero improvement I would say :( disappointed
